A Rothko And Your Face

As the photo reached my eyes
It caused butterflies to rise
With my vision swimming too
At this vision seen of you 

Only one thing I had seen
Caused such swirliness in me
Only two sights bring that state
They’re a Rothko and your face

It’s religion without God
Or an inkling of love
It is living’s saving grace
It’s a Rothko or your face

There’s a Mona Lisa smile
But that isn’t what beguiles
It’s the luminosity
That you robbed from Rothko’s dream

And that man is truly rich
Who can always survey it
But would Rothko call disgrace

Woke up today
Remembered somebody died
Woke up today
It happens I’m still alive
Now everything’s broken
But something is fixed
The question of meaning
There’s no meaning to this

TV’s a distraction
Turns out it always was
Whisky’s an attraction
Who ever knew it was?

Got up this morning
Sore head but alive
While people with causes
Don’t get through the night
Squandered the daytime
Still hung up on your plight
The same old timewasting
But now done out of spite

I’ve offering a retraction

No right to feel any anger
That life hasn’t met my aims

As a Saxophonist venues Adam has performed at include: Ronnie Scotts, Cork Jazz Festival, Smalls Jazz Club NY, Pink Elephant Jazz, Pizza Express Dean Street Soho and Pizza Express Pheasantry. He as also recorded and produced the music for the BBC radio drama, Clean Sheets. 

2018 Adam has been working with two producers on the same material Amy Winehouse's and Whitney Huston's producer. Adam is also on the new Ray Davies Album, Americana: Act II
