Golden Hour: Organic - Progressive House

When our beloved Noisily Festival vanished without explanation, its community refused to die. Strangers who shared a deep connection through the festival stepped forward to organise an event that would embody the original Noisily spirit. It began as a modest 50-person gathering, but quickly swelled to 500 attendees. Notsilly Festival is a celebration of the underground, a community-driven homage to the music, creativity, and connection that made Noisily a beloved institution. Party Trike were involved in the organisation and hosted a stage for the full weekend. 

This set was recorded, 9pm—midnight. It was a privilege to close the Saturday night, as darkness replaced the heat of the sun and the nighttime people came alive. The set spans several sub-genres, starting with rhythmic sounds and developing into more robust, melodic house and then techno. Then winding down for a shimmery, blissed out finish.

Here's my Party Trike set recorded live at Notsilly Festival from 16:30-18:00 on Sat 12 July 2025. I can't really describe what it was like playing this set to such a lovely up for it energised crowd, but I loved every minute of it & had a blast. It was honestly one of my fav dj gigs to date :) Huge thanks to Vish, Mark & the team for the support, I felt really privileged to play on such an amazing fun stage that is the Party Trike. Enjoy x

Notsilly a grassroots electronic music festival rises from the ashes of cancelled Noisily Festival, proving community spirit trumps corporate control. When Noisily Festival vanished without explanation, its community heart refused to die. 
Notsilly Festival, a defiant, DIY tribute, took place on 10-13 July 2025.

One day, thousands of festival-goers had tickets to the beloved Noisily Music and Arts Festival. The next, they had refunds and silence. No explanation. No goodbye. Just a corporate decision that erased 12 years of underground music history overnight!
But this community wasn't about to let their tribe scatter to the wind.
Strangers who had never met in the outside world but who shared a deep connection forged at Noisily and maintained through online forums and social media began to unite. Despite official Facebook group posts being largely declined from approval, one message about a small party near the original festival site slipped through, sparking hope amongst the disbanded tribe.

What happened next proves that the most powerful force in music isn't money...it's community.
From this spark, a genuine grassroots organisation emerged. A personal heartfelt farewell letter by a community member circulated, and a new WhatsApp group formed to keep the community connected as many sought alternative festivals to fill the void. Soon after, a dedicated community member stepped forward to organise an event that would embody the original Noisily spirit.
What began as a modest 50-person gathering quickly sold out, prompting a move to a larger nearby field. The event swelled to 500 attendees, fuelled entirely by community contributions, no formal budget, no corporate backing!
 
Organisers called on experienced festival-goers to donate decor, lighting, and connections. Apart from hiring DJ equipment and sound equipment, the entire festival became a collective effort.

"This isn't about replacing Noisily," explains one of the volunteer organisers. "It's about keeping the spirit alive, the music, the community, the magic that brought us all together in the first place. We're proving that the heart of a festival isn't the brand or the corporate backing, it's the people."
Notsilly Festival is not about headliners or commercial spectacle, it is a celebration of the underground, a community-driven homage to the music, creativity, and connection that made Noisily a beloved institution. The festival took place at an undisclosed location near the original Noisily site, on the same weekend that would have been the Noisily music and arts festival.

DEPTH. PERCEPTION Returns in 2025: Live Electronic Music from AJ Hackett’s SkyPark Bungy Jumping featuring DOPPEL LIVE.
 
We’ve been working towards this moment for a long time, and we’re proud to finally launch the next chapter of the DEPTH. PERCEPTION series — filmed in one of the most iconic locations in Australia.  
 
For this very special episode, we packed our bags and headed north to the tropical rainforest of Cairns, teaming up with the legendary crew at AJ Hackett’s SkyPark — home to Australia’s only bungy jumping site — to create something truly unique.  
 
On top of the tower, 164 feet above the canopy, we welcomed DOPPEL, one of Australia’s most respected festival artists, to deliver an exclusive live electronic music performance. Known for his deep, melodic, and progressive sounds, DOPPEL brings a set filled with unreleased material and timeless productions from his highly regarded discography.  
 
Since launching the PERCEPTION series, we’ve been waiting for the right time and place to showcase DOPPEL’s musical journey — and this was it. Elevated in every sense of the word.  
 
This episode blends the beauty of Far North Queensland's natural environment with the countries unique and distinctive music culture. It’s a celebration of underground electronic music, Australian landscapes, and the artists shaping the future of sound. 
 
A massive thank you to the incredible crew at SkyPark Cairns, especially Charlie, Jayde E and Jayde H, all the jump deck crew and everyone behind the scenes who made this collaboration possible.

“Cairns is one of the places that the Australian outdoor scene and its unique flavour of house & techno really originated as well as the hometown of so many of my friends and inspirations in the industry so it felt like a natural place for it all to come together for this recording. It’s also been a place that has welcomed me with open arms since the beginning of my career, so getting back up there to play tunes and showcase the incredible natural beauty of the place was really special.
