A fun five hour DJ set recorded from the Party Trike in a clearing in the Barkestone Woods on Thursday night at Noisily Festival 2023. This follows my usual style of starting slowly and building the tempo and energy as the night develops. The mix spans Electronica, Balearic, Deep House, House, Melodic House and Techno.

Aark: Party Trike x Noisily Festival 6.7.23

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my set from Notsilly Festival on Saturday 12th July. I dug deep with this one and pulled out some true beauties from my library which encapsulates my sound. Out of the 60+ sets I’ve published to SoundCloud this is THE ONE. Light and dark, hard and soft, magical instruments, tribal drum programming, sounds from nature, influences from Indian, African and Middle Eastern cultures, remixes and edits of classics in my style, alongside tracks and acapellas with beautiful lyrics.

It was a scorching hot couple of days and a real privilege to play to my favourite festival crew, some of whom I’ve known for 9 years since first going to Noisily Festival in 2016. 450 of us came together in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire on the River Soar, off the back of Noisily Festival being cancelled by Live Nation.

It was a real triumph, especially as it was all organised in 2 months and completely sold out. The organisers even had to secure additional fields so we could up the capacity and number of stages. Hats off to Vish, Lawrence, Adam and all the amazing people that helped make this happen. You are all legends in my eyes. The first ever Notsilly Festival will be etched into my brain forever and I can’t wait to return next year.

Tribal techno set-Notsilly Festival

Recorded in memory of Noisily Festival which was held in the UK from 2011 to 2024. An annual gathering of colourful, crazy, wonderful people in an English woodland. Filled with adventure and surprises and powered by jaw-dropping sound and lights, Noisily Festival was a special place that will live long in the memory. This mix is inspired by the many artists heard and music performed there over many years, and winds its way from house through techno to progressive psy trance.

nd3c3nt @ NotSilly 2025 [live]

Live from Notsilly Fest's Party Tunnel Saturday July 12th 01:30 - 03:30 am. It suffices to say, the greatest challenge of all was following an incredible hard hitting set from Gavin @nd3ce3nt who left me and everyone in the tunnel with jelly thighs, but with just enough fuel to deliver a dark (and hopeful) two hour sonic journey ranging from 92 - 180 BPM. This set is near and dear to me as it draws inspiration from my own life story, channeling the emotional, yet hopeful, rollercoaster I've been on over the last year or so. Each track carefully selected, down to title names and featured lyrics, intended to craft a story. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and Notsilly's Party Tunnel certainly delivered! Here's my Party Trike set recorded live at Notsilly Festival from 16:30-18:00 on Sat 12 July 2025. I can't really describe what it was like playing this set to such a lovely up for it energised crowd, but I loved every minute of it & had a blast. It was honestly one of my fav dj gigs to date :) Huge thanks to Vish, Mark & the team for the support, I felt really privileged to play on such an amazing fun stage that is the Party Trike. Enjoy x

Notsilly a grassroots electronic music festival rises from the ashes of cancelled Noisily Festival, proving community spirit trumps corporate control. When Noisily Festival vanished without explanation, its community heart refused to die. 
Notsilly Festival, a defiant, DIY tribute, took place on 10-13 July 2025.

One day, thousands of festival-goers had tickets to the beloved Noisily Music and Arts Festival. The next, they had refunds and silence. No explanation. No goodbye. Just a corporate decision that erased 12 years of underground music history overnight!
But this community wasn't about to let their tribe scatter to the wind.
Strangers who had never met in the outside world but who shared a deep connection forged at Noisily and maintained through online forums and social media began to unite. Despite official Facebook group posts being largely declined from approval, one message about a small party near the original festival site slipped through, sparking hope amongst the disbanded tribe.

What happened next proves that the most powerful force in music isn't money...it's community.
From this spark, a genuine grassroots organisation emerged. A personal heartfelt farewell letter by a community member circulated, and a new WhatsApp group formed to keep the community connected as many sought alternative festivals to fill the void. Soon after, a dedicated community member stepped forward to organise an event that would embody the original Noisily spirit.
What began as a modest 50-person gathering quickly sold out, prompting a move to a larger nearby field. The event swelled to 500 attendees, fuelled entirely by community contributions, no formal budget, no corporate backing!
 
Organisers called on experienced festival-goers to donate decor, lighting, and connections. Apart from hiring DJ equipment and sound equipment, the entire festival became a collective effort.

"This isn't about replacing Noisily," explains one of the volunteer organisers. "It's about keeping the spirit alive, the music, the community, the magic that brought us all together in the first place. We're proving that the heart of a festival isn't the brand or the corporate backing, it's the people."
Notsilly Festival is not about headliners or commercial spectacle, it is a celebration of the underground, a community-driven homage to the music, creativity, and connection that made Noisily a beloved institution. The festival took place at an undisclosed location near the original Noisily site, on the same weekend that would have been the Noisily music and arts festival.
This event stands as a testament to the power of grassroots collaboration and the enduring bond of the Noisily tribe—proving that when corporate interests abandon a community, the community can rise to create something even more meaningful.When our beloved Noisily Festival vanished without explanation, its community refused to die.

From the ashes of Noisily a new community led festival called NotSilly was born, and I was delighted to be invited to play the main stage 21:00-22:30 on Friday 11th.
With the sun setting and knowing that Neutron (UK) would be playing after me, I start with HNTR's great new track "Victory", and shift up through the gears through a healthy dose of acid and ending on Tristan and Avalons amazing remix of "Techno Code".

This was a fantastic event, organised in only 10 weeks and it was so good to be invovled in this fantastic little party.
