"Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" es una hermosísima canción de por ahí del 1974 la música es del gran Elton John y la letra de su inseparable compañero letrista y poeta: Bernie Taupin. Dice más o menos así:

Yo la descubrí por un disco tributo a las creaciones del par en la que la interpreta una genial cantante y pianista llamada Oleta Adams y la suya es (para mí) la versión definitiva, por eso es que (como un ejercicio y como un reto de superación personal) con mucho respeto, intenté hacer este cover lo más fiel posible a su interpretación.

No es un cover en el sentido de búsqueda, de propuesta; de transformar la canción en algo mío, en algo diferente (eso me encanta, desde luego, pero no era la intención ahora)... es más una versión de estudio, en el sentido de que estudiarla para tratar de poder tocarla y cantarla me hizo bien a mí en un plano muy personal y técnico, y egoísta quizás. Pero también estoy contento de poder compartirla acá porque me gusta cómo quedó; en gran, gran parte eso es gracias al talento y buen oído y buena onda de Diego Suarez que me la grabó una mañana en su estudio y la mezcló y masterizó ahí mismo para que se sintiera con una calidad pro.

Está bastante difícil la rola y, con conciencia de todos los errores que se me escaparon, de su naturaleza de gran bestia salvaje (que no logré domar del todo) y con las limitantes de mi propio instrumento, pues nada... así me salió, y fue un placer el intento. Ojalá la disfruten.
