Big George Floyd was a Third Ward kid
Born and raised in H-town til his life went on the skids
Star Football Player at Jack Yates High
Made a few mistakes- but doesn’t every guy?
Moved to Minneapolis one cold Fall
Thinking this time he was gonna make it after all
But he sure wasn’t treated like Mary Tyler Moore
He fell into our country’s open social sore...

The cops arrived and found George passed out 
Up against the wall
He wasn’t doin nobody no harm 
At the spot where he did fall
Cops came up and put him into cuffs
But one little piggy needed to act tough
He put his full weight on George’s neck
Crowd gathered around- sayin “what the heck”
Cop kept pushin down on poor George
His knee pressed down like a deadly forge
George cried out “I can’t breathe”
Cop stared so evil-Crowd started to seethe
Cop kept kneeling on this defenseless man
Til blood was running out his nose and hands
After 8 minutes when an ambulance finally arrived
It was too late-George Floyd did not survive.

Why did they kill Big George Floyd?
A precious human life senselessly destroyed
Was it a darkness deep with our system
Or did they just hate him for the color of his skin?
I will not be violent but I will not stay silent 
I will help defeat this evil sin
I will stand with all good people hand in hand
Raising our voice is our God given choice
We pray for peace to let this hatred cease 
But until that day of sweet final release
No Justice, No Peace...

Have you ever wondered what Tiny Moving Parts would sound like if they went shoegaze? Or whether they'd be called "Tiny Moving Valentine" or "My Bloody Parts"

I know it keeps me up at night.
While we many never know what the Minnesota family band would call this hypothetical musical concoction, I decided to create a demo of what that could sound like.

Here is "Sublime Alibi" aka my first attempt in Mathgaze
Enjoy! Also learning to play and sing this simultaneously while bouncing took way more time to get just passable than I thought.
