Here is my 2025 re-recording of Spot The Dog's instrumental track, "Great Pressure". As originally recorded in Randy Sparks' trailer studio, it appeared as the b-side to the band's 1985 single, "It's Christmas Time" (which I have also recently re-recorded; see my Bandcamp). I wrote this song as an exercise in using some of the first software MIDI sequencers available for personal computers, and I never had any intention of releasing it. But the rest of my band heard it and insisted that it be put to tape. The band's keyboardist/guitarist John Reed dubbed in a bunch of cool guitar tracks and turned it into a rocker. At some point, we needed to select a flip side for our Christmas single, and it was decided that it needed to be this freaky little diddy. Go figure. Learned a bunch of new recording and automation processes in making this fresh version. Instruments used: Moog Minimoog, Oberheim OB-Xa, FXpansion Strobe 2, various PreSonus sound modules, samples and amp sims.

Since its creation in 1990, the Baltimore-based Unity has been pleasing listeners with its unique, roots-based reggae music. Now an accomplished musical unit, Unity prides itself on its versatility.

From the very beginning, the band originally known as Natty Skank, has been a melting pot of various musical influences. Each member brings their own unique musical perspective which, when brought together under the umbrella of Reggae, creates a musical style that is unique but true to the roots-reggae style of music.

With nearly 25 years of live performance experience as a group, Unity knows how to please a crowd. Having amassed a huge repertoire of original reggae and covers, no two shows are ever the same. Veterans of three U.S. tours, Unity has shared its message of positivity to thousands of happy music lovers of all ages in clubs, at festivals, colleges, and charity events.

Unity's latest release, Urban Music (2005) is their fourth, and contains music written over a 12-year period. Unity's performance highlights include sharing the stage with THE WAILERS, YELLOWMAN, BURNING SPEAR, GREGORY ISAACS, EEK-A-MOUSE, and MUTABARUKA.

The synthpunk persona of Kit Watson. What we have here is a mish-mash of old and new; fresh attempts and stale goodies; mostly original, with a smattering of covers. Much of this has not been mastered properly, and most of it was executed in "toy software". Now that I have the right gear for the job, a self-titled album is in the works. Don't hold your breath, though. I'm the Tom Scholz of synthpunk. It's not ever perfect until it's perfect. I have also decided not to post here any versions of any of the songs going onto the album. When the album releases, that's when all the songs will be available.
