A tantalising new release from Russian producer and Colorize stalwart Sound Quelle sees him link up with compatriot producer duo Jackarta who impressed with their single 'Hang Loose' on Colorscapes Volume Two. They strike gold on 'Froggy', with imposing bass, effervescent synths and glossy pads layered gracefully over throbbing drums, all coming together to form a superb production.

Nocturna is a new project by Andrea Cassino and Danny Lloyd from Tuscany in Italy - A region synonymous with quality underground house techno for many years, Dj's like Francesco Farfa and Alex Neri rose to fame, with clubs like Tenax striving the way forward delivering quality underground line ups week after week, and this is where Andrea and Danny learnt their craft and made good friends with these DJ legends. 

And so to Big Bang we begin, and its an infectious deep layered gem that oozes out from the off, locking you in to its magical groove as the percussion develops and synth stabs intersperse with the rising arpeggiator and subtle pads, your mind is lost inside the chasm of sound before you are gently eased into the sub-bass lined dreamy drop that induces smiles at an instant. 

Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile are first up on remix duties, and the talented trio strip the vibe right back, with its deep tension creating mood with hints of the melodics subtly infused as we meander effortlessly through the mesmerising odyssey. This excellent remix firmly proves this superb production outfits rich and diverse musical tapestry. 

Next up is Sudbeat label manager Graziano Raffa, a rising name in the underground scene, and who's recent collaboration with Lonya is doing the damage right now. His remix flows with class from the instant it starts, encapsulating a wealth of harmonics peppered throughout, creating a timeless bubbler that will seriously do some damage. 

And if they weren't enough, another original track Microcosmos closes the package, a sprightly voyage, deep yet uplifting, with chiming and tinkling sounds meeting a big low end and warm pads laying a smooth blanket of warmth on top to keep you cosy.

In anticipation of Finnish producer Jani R's forthcoming "Fragile" artist album on Silk Sofa, we're proud to present "A Thousand Flares", including an accompanying remix by UK producer Data Rebel. Jani R previously appeared on Silk Sofa with his "Collision" EP, as well as his lush remixes of Seagrave's "Tick Tock".

The Original Mix quickly establishes a unique and mesmerizing soundscape. Soon thereafter, gorgeous string layers emerge, as well as a beautiful and tranquil theme synth. As the song progresses, various percussion elements are introduced, accompanied by stunning textural sound effects. The song brilliantly showcases the quality of sounds and melodies to be expected on Jani's full-length artist album. Data Rebel is a new addition to the Silk Sofa roster, and his remix of "A Thousand Flares" could not be a better introduction. His remix begins with soothing pad and string lines, as well as refreshing sound effects in the background. A lush breakbeat is introduced soon thereafter, while an enjoyable bassline appears underneath. The song is continuously spiced up with new melodies and structural changes, enhancing the atmosphere even further.

Jani R - A Thousand Flares (Data Rebel Remix) [Silk Sofa]

PHW Elements are happy and proud to announce another great collaboration on our roster, as we have the great pleasure to have Noa Romana & Deersky among us with an excellent 3 track EP. With a reputation built up over the years though their musical talent, releasing music through great label over and over again, we of course couldn’t be happier than we are as they join our label as well.

Opening up is the title track “Things We’ll Never Understand” that is a wonderful deep production from these great collaborating producers. With deep and evolving dark textures, filled with quality pads that builds up a smooth atmosphere in the track. To top things up, they delivers truly nice melodic arrangements, that we feel are just developing this track to a fantastic progressive journey.

The 2nd production, taking place on this EP is the production baptized as “Goodbye”. Here you have another truly atmospheric production, built in a the same manner, through evolving strings and pads that builds and builds to an euphoria of sounds that leaves us in a great crescendo as we get to the breakdown. The melodies taking place there, is filled with warm textures and depth. It’s another astonishing production from 2 of the best in the business and we are truly happy to release something as good as this, it’s beyond heaven really. 

The 3rd and final production taking part, to complete the package is a track called “Star Blossom”. With more warm melodic arrangements, warmth built through majestic bass sounds, they pull of another plethora of sounds, built to perfection. The breakdown is as amazing as ever, and we are thrilled to have Noa Romana & Deersky as members in our PHW Elements, it’s a proud moment and hopefully you are to love this release as much as we do. In its 37th release, Abstract Space Records introduces Freefall, a dark progressive trance production by Rogier & Stage Van H, the most prominently featured artists on the label. This time around our favorite duo finds the listener savoring the stellar view of a bustling inner city from a vantage point high atop a stunning bass hit, braced against whirling pads that tempt a lonely sounding synthesizer to take a leap of faith between towering skyscrapers of percussion that are silhouetted against bright, sonorous strings. In his remix, Blufeld brazenly continues the theme with our lonely synthesizer soaring above bass heavy kicks, propped up by a boisterous bass line carried even higher through a buffeting break beat that indeed offers No Way Back. LoQuai's Nightfall remix drops the tone with a rolling bass that emulates sunset in our city, bringing out the dark side of the now familiar melody with a haunting, slow moving synth line. In his first appearance on Abstract Space Records, Jeremy Rowlett leads the listener ever deeper into the darkness with a driving, hollow trancey bass that is offset perfectly by synthesized keys that filter up through strings and fabulous hand percussion. Fractal Architect entirely reworks the original track in his futuristic, deep progressive goa remix titled Falling Star where the listener now looks down on the city from the edge of a taunting, atmospheric 303 that dares us to jump, spiralling into Freefall.

Connected welcome back Aaaron for a fifth fantastic EP that continues his journey through mystic synthesis.

With each new release this artist adds new layers of depth to his music. The stylish producer uses a range of instruments to mix abstract ideas with tribal energy and futuristic melodies that encourage you to sink in deep.

Seductive opener ‘Cosmic Soul’ has a rhythm section playing robotic funk against an esoteric drone. A melancholic piano refrain and pleading vocals go dubwise to really make for an essential groove.

The equally beautiful ‘Mercy’ has lush synthetic textures reminiscent of Blade Runner 2049 which form a backdrop for a skeletal drum figure, as soft, Kraftwerk-like notes filter in and out to keep you in a dream state.

Last of all is the fantastic ‘It’s Not Over’ which is utterly hypnotic and set against a drumscape of toms and unnaturally pitched and distorted snares. The vocal is haunting and irresistible and the song draws you in, mystified by its simplicity. Innocently executed, this is Aaaron at his futuristic high.

Once again here Aaaron impresses with his mighty fine studio craftsmanship.
