Much like songbird Edith Piaf, Madeleine Peyroux spent her teenage years busking the busy streets of Paris. Just like the ‘little sparrow’, Madeleine befriended the city’s street musicians and made its Latin quarter her first performing stage. Years later, Peyroux would cite iconic Piaf as an influence on her music and record a rendition of the classic La Vie En Rose, soulfully capturing the tune’s romanticism and melancholy.
 
Born in Athens, Georgia in 1974, Madeleine “grew up in a house filled with music” and from an early age “instinctively realised music’s soothing power” but it was her teenage years in the French capital that turned the childhood notion into an all-consuming vocation for life.

Young Madeleine moved to Paris with her mother in 1987 following her parents divorce. “To soothe me during the upheaval”, she recalls, “I was given a guitar and took to playing in the streets almost immediately.”

Thirty years after her formative busking days Peyroux is the proud curator of nine beguiling albums and an accomplished performer with sell out worldwide tours under her belt. Her atmospheric version of Serge Gainsborough’s La Javanaise was used in the soundtrack of Oscar Winner The Shape of Water and her countless accolades
include the coveted BBC International Artist Of The Year honour.
 
Madeleine’s thirst for creative exploration is unfading and her willingness to face creative challenges remains as solid now as it was three decades ago.

With endearing passion and great curiosity the unstoppable genre-defying virtuoso continues her search for the good and examines life with the treasured William Congreve belief that Music has charms to soothe the savage beast.
 
Madeleine might attribute her success to “mostly luck” but to the industry and loyal fans alike, it is the immense talent and utter dedication to her craft that shines through.

Fat Wreck Chords is an indie label co-founded in San Francisco by NOFX frontman Fat Mike (Michael Burkett) and Erin Kelly-Burkett, in 1990. The first wave of bands signed to FAT (No Use For A Name, NOFX, Propagandhi, Lagwagon, and more) shaped what became known as the Fat Wreck sound. FAT continues to be an artist-friendly label and has a unique business model of signing bands to one record deals. Going on its third decade, FAT boastfully remains a 100% independently owned and operated company.

Na Maza, a Canberra based Metal-core group, have been an active local band since 2007 and have supported acts such as: Twelve Foot Ninja, Angry Anderson and the band of Doom, just to name a few. Amongst the goals that the band have set for themselves, bringing to life the music that could only be heard in their heads, the music that they longed to hear, is their number one goal.

In 2012, Na Maza recorded their debut album Z at Infidel Studios and released it in early 2013. Initially, the album was exclusively released on USB/Digital format only and has had songs from the album featured on the late night
television show, Blokes World. A re-mastered release of the album is planned to be available in the later months of 2017.

In mid 2016, the band finalised and began recording their second album I
The Undersigned at Infidel Studios. This album was Mastered by Leon Zervos (301 Studios) and unlike the debut album, I the Undersigned was destined to be released on CD in early 2017 – exclusive Digital releases are available for original USB owners at a discounted rate.

Na Maza are currently preparing to take the release of I The Undersigned on the road. 2017 Tour Details are expected to be released in the mid months of the year.

The band are also progressing with the writing of their third album and recording is on track to begin in early 2018. Na Maza hope to announce the launch of their third album in the mid months 2018.
