I wrote a song that is impossible to play.

When ambient artist Six Missing approached me to create a rework for 'Peaceful One', I decided to take on the task less like a musical endeavor, and more like a piece of art. Recreating complex synth patterns with intricate guitar, I wanted to avoid practicality and sought to write something functionally unplayable on guitar. This rework is a journey through genres enjoyed by both Six Missing and myself, and hopefully, captures the essence of the original song through a fresh and avant-garde perspective.

Peaceful One [Adam Dodson rework]

Through sound I leave you a piece of me.

Music has always been deeply personal — in it, I have found identity, and it has become an extension of language for me. Each song is like a sonic diary, reminding me where I was,  physically and emotionally. I’ve learned a lot about myself through melodies, and the thought of someone else, perhaps miles away, having a similar experience while listening to these sounds, gives me a sense of greater purpose.

My name is Adam. I’m a musician, producer, visual designer, and human being in Austin, Texas. Inspired by several genres and mediums, I write ambient music with a focus on guitar-based looping, immersive soundscapes, and melodic storytelling.
