The next 12inch in the Lion’s Choice series showcases two productions by Val Tribulation from Grenoble, France. One features Haroon Ayyaz on ‘Words Of Wisdom’ - an uplifting 90s style instrumental paired with a praise song to and partly from the holy scriptures including a heavily meditative mandolin cut by the versatile instrumentalist Mandlion from Italy. The other one features ‘Marble Works’-partner in crime Alpha B on ’What’s Left For Me’ - a heavily saxophone (played by Prince François Far I) infused riddim, combined with thought-provoking lyrics questioning the state of todays world and its future. Two powerful vocals and one instrumental cut on two deep riddims, both served with a dub version.

Indica Dubs meets The Disciples! We've come together to bring you these 2 thunderous tracks on a limited edition 10” single. These tracks were 2 of a few that began last year when Russ Disciples visited the Indica Dubs studio for a few days!

On one side you have 'Dub Apprentice'; a heavy and hard-hitting steppers tune. We gave it this title since I'm constantly learning from the master himself. On the flipside 'Zion Melody' is more of a one-drop style with a hard riddim, full of melodies throughout the whole tune! Both tracks consisting of numerous dubbing effects, something of the past and future combined! All tracks produced by Indica Dubs & The Disciples. Mixed by Indica Dubs. Mastered by The Disciples.

Indica Dubs meets The Disciples - Dub Apprentice / Zion Melody 10" [ISS099]

To those suspended moments.
Those thresholds where the day stretches, where light hesitates, where shadows reach out but never close their grip. That in-between where everything is just half of something else. Maybe music, in the end, is just that.

I didn’t try to compose a series of tracks. What I wanted was a comet, a continuous vibration. If there has to be silence, it should carry weight. If there’s grain, it should be rough. If something is born, it must rise from what came before. An echo has both its source and its rebound, and the rebound remembers.

This album holds memories of a time I never knew. Analog warmth, tape wobbles, sparks filled with imperfections. Layers and fragments of a future only half-imagined, artifacts that feel almost unreal.

And then, there are the images. The burn of an orange sun scraping the horizon, a deep blue night where every star feels both infinitely close and impossibly distant. Heavy skies, soaked in salt. Voices erased by the wind but still lingering, somewhere, like whispers of an echo.
