20 year old, self-tought Happy Sometimes grew up in Laguna Beach California and has been writing songs and producing beats in her bedroom since she was 14. In 2015, Happy Sometimes swapped the beach for the valley and followed her passion to Los Angeles to focus on the creation of her own project. Here in the backlots of Burbank and Studio City, she quickly joined the new wave of young writing producing artists who have re- ignited LA music scene.

Happy Sometimes is hauntingly uplifting, her vocals capture fragile fractured emotions like a fading photograph. Her songs grasp at the spirit of a pure and honest youth with a lifetime of stories yet to tell. Her soundscape is epic electro with killer vocals and dope production.

Happy Sometimes delivers dark, moody, driving production touched by airy dream-like synths in her cinematic take on Franz Ferdinand’s “Take Me Out”.

Adam Mah is a musician and composer based in Vancouver. 

His evocative soundscapes blend nostalgic textures with a mod indie rock-and-pop sensibility. With reverb-soaked synths, striking vocals and wayward lyrics, his music parses perspectives on love, art, memory and the digital age. On stage, Adam has supported The Rubens and Hotel Mira, and performed at festivals including Westward Music Festival, Khatsahlano, and Kansai Music Conference in Osaka.

His debut album, Year of the Dog, draws inspiration from the Chinese zodiac and one transformative year, exploring long-term relationships, band breakups, and society’s obsession with wistfulness. From the faux-vintage commentary of “Recycle Nostalgia” to industry critique in “Platforms” and the identity anxiety of “Video Subscription,” the record balances sincerity with sharp cultural insight. Guest features include Jordan Lawlor, ROYAL, and RIKII.

His 2022 EP No More Late Nights featured Hazel, with a thematic focus on doom scrolling, burnout, and the commodification of art. Earlier credits include Commute (2021, with Sleepy Leggs/Willo Hill), indie-rock singles “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” and “Quiet in the City,” and his debut EP The Cloud (2020). Before debuting as a solo artist, Adam was co-founder and frontman of pop band Derrival. 

As composer, Adam has been nominated for Best Original Music at the Kursaal Film Festival in San Sebastián for Mr. Khatia. In 2024, he composed original music for Hotello!, a stage play by Bianca Kenna that premiered at the 200-seat Cultch Historic Theatre. Forthcoming scores include Narrow Time, a short film from I Spy Peaches Productions, and a feature thriller.
