This week on Drumcode Live we have a live mix from Adam Beyer & Chris Avantgarde recorded at the Drumcode show at Lamercedes in Barcelona, Spain.

Originaire des caraïbes, BILL ROSDELD a commencé son activité de dj/producteur dès l'âge de 17 ans.  

Appelé aussi Baby Carl Cox, son style est axé sur la création de sons différents et beaucoup d'adeptes ont été conquis non seulement par ses morceaux parfois décalés mais aussi par ses DJ sets notamment sur vynils.  

Issu de la scène underground son style oscille entre minimal, Tech House, Techno et bientôt de la progressive. Ses influences, techno : comme Carl Cox, Sam Paganini, Adam Beyer, Gary Beck, Paul kalkbrenner ; Progressive : Hernan Cattaneo, Ezéquiel Arias, Alex O’rion ; House/ tek house Ida engberg, Kerry chandler et bien d'autres sont d'une grande inspiration pour cet artiste.  

C'est en 1996 qu'il a commencé ses premiers sets dans les raves party varoise puis au début des années 2000, à continuer à se faire connaitre en Bretagne dans des free party et des warmup où il joua au côté de quelques artistes comme Dj Enthrall (Ravedge / Absolute Rythm  /Hypotek) Temptation (Dancefloor killer) et Tom Pooks (family Piknik music / Terminal M / Kompakt extra). 

En 2006 il crée un petit duo électro appelé DABASS au côté de son ami de cœur François Devlieghere afin de jouer dans quelques petites salles et bar à Brest. Dans cette même période Il fait connaissance de KRIFTOF T du collectif IEWT (in electro we trust) qui lui donne l’occasion également dans quelques bars de la région et mettre un pied dans la grande scène de la “CARENE de BREST”. 

À la suite de cette expérience il quitte le monde des Free Party et découvre la BELGIQUE, sa culture et ses clubs notamment LAGOA, La BUSH, l’H2O et le CHERRYMOON. Depuis ce pays est pour lui une révélation pour la musique électronique notamment lors des festivals comme "I LOVE TECHNO" ,”Ten Days Off"et TOMMORROW LAND. 

Il décide alors de se lancer dans la production et c’est en 2015 qu’il son premier album “INSOMNIA” sur EP DIGITAL MUSIC nous emmène dans son univers techno groovy.  

La même année, il sort le titre “SILENCE” sur “LIFE SENTENCE RECORD” aux cotés de ROXX CHERRY et JEAN AGORIIA.  

Après avoir passé une petite période dans l’ombre, on le revoit depuis peu dans quelques soirées privées notamment aux cotés des Djs set du BOUILLOTE KLUB.  Il garde toujours cette passion pour cette musique. Déterminé et motivé, il prévoit la sortie d’un 2eme EP soit sur EP DIGITAL MUSIC ou BK RECORD.

Also called Baby Carl Cox, his style is focused on the creation of different sounds and many fans have been won over not only by his sometimes offbeat pieces but also by his DJ sets, particularly on vinyl.

Coming from the underground scene, his style oscillates between minimal, Tech House, Techno and soon progressive. His influences, techno: like Carl Cox, Sam Paganini, Adam Beyer, Gary Beck, Paul Kalkbrenner; Progressive: Hernan Cattaneo, Ezequiel Arias, Alex O’rion; House/ tek house Ida Engberg, Kerry Chandler and many others are a great inspiration for this artist.

It was in 1996 that he began his first sets in rave parties in Var, then at the beginning of the 2000s, he continued to make himself known in Brittany in free parties and warmups where he played alongside a few artists such as DJ Enthrall (Ravedge / Absolute Rythm / Hypotek) Temptation (Dancefloor killer) and Tom Pooks (family Piknik music / Terminal M / Kompakt extra).

In 2006 he created a small electro duo called DABASS with his close friend François Devlieghere to play in a few small venues and bars in Brest. During this same period he met KRIFTOF T from the IEWT collective (in electro we trust) who also gave him the opportunity to perform in a few bars in the region and get a foothold on the big stage of the “CARENE de BREST”.

Following this experience he left the world of Free Party and discovered BELGIUM, its culture and its clubs including LAGOA, La BUSH, H2O and CHERRYMOON. Since then, this country has been a revelation for him for electronic music, particularly during festivals like "I LOVE TECHNO", "Ten Days Off" and TOMMORROW LAND.

He then decided to launch into production and it was in 2015 that his first album “INSOMNIA” on EP DIGITAL MUSIC took us into his techno and house groovy universe.

The same year, he released the title “SILENCE” on “LIFE SENTENCE RECORD” alongside ROXX CHERRY and JEAN AGORIIA.

After spending a short period in the shadows, we have recently seen him again in a few private parties, notably alongside the DJs set from BOUILLOTE KLUB. He still maintains this passion for this music. Determined and motivated, he plans the release of a 2nd EP either on EP DIGITAL MUSIC or BK RECORD.
