CHP Mix Sessions

Holy Island, an island off of the coast of North Wales is where Dez Williams begun spinning wax at an early age and now maintains his humble analogue / digital studio. Isolated from the marketing, fashion and pretentious attitudes that plague the music industry, Dez is free to express himself through his machines. 

Safe from this environment he is unconstrained and has no urge to conform with any ideal or aesthetic and thus his electronic music is pure self expression. A window into his soul. His day job at an electronic components factory means that he is no stranger to repetition, rhythm and electronics. 

His sound is perhaps a product of his daily grind with boredom, escapism, events in his life and a long term passion for technology, horror and science fiction. Inspired by many of the classic Chicago / Detroit / Electro / Techno producers, like the finest, his sound is unique, uncompromising and unpredictable. His vision of Techno is deep and futuristic with a heavy dose of Funk. 

Dez's passion for sound and the darker side of the human spirit compels him to create tracks on an almost daily basis and  he sits on an incredibly vast archive of cassettes, mini-discs and CD's of his work. Yet his reclusive nature dictates that his release schedule remains sparse. His tracks can range from driving Techno, to melancholy and dark synthesizer orchestrations, ghostly deep listening, straight up Electro cuts and beyond. Sometimes simple, sometimes complex, within his sounds are vast amounts of detail for the listener to decipher. Emotions transmitted through mathematics and code. 

Williams' tracks have found their way into the sets of DJ's like Dave Clarke, Andrea Parker, Adam X, John Peel, Ellen Allien, Mike Dred, Rob Hall and many more.

He has constantly retained an underground / cult fanbase. His debut LP 'Elektronik Religion' for the SCSI label was hailed as "One of the very few truly great Electro albums of the new century". Dez remains true to the underground and simply creates for the love and need to do so. The mark of a true artist. 

He continues to DJ and play live sets worldwide and has had releases on a variety of record labels including  Bedouin, Earwiggle, Trust, Minimal Soul, Warmdata, Acruacree, Ai, Cheap, SCSI-AV, Blase, Voodoo, and Ben Sims' Native imprint.

Josip Katic aka ΛVΛTΛR J is a DJ/Producer currently residing in Rotterdam. As with many of us in the Electro community, at a young age, he was fascinated with breakdance and Hip Hop culture. During his adolescent years he shifted his interest to House and Techno. Now 15 years after the start of his initial love for Hip Hop, he is back to his roots playing Breakbeat and Electro. He spends time as an organizer of local events and producing new Electro material for future live performances.

Sean Kosa is alive and well and living in Montreal. Born in Toronto but having lived in Central Asia for a large part of the last 20 years, his music is influenced by not only the sounds of the roots of electronic music and it's futurist aesthetic, but also the paradox between the rural beauty and the brutalism of post-Soviet Asia which he experienced while living there.
He has been performing, DJing and releasing music for over 30 years involved in various musical projects. In 2022 he launched his own imprint 'Facecontrol Audio Industries' with a mandate to explore both the brutal and the melodic, a nod to the listener, and the dancefloor. 2025 is going to be a big year for Facecontrol with 2 remix EPs slated, an outstanding debut EP by Petey Pile, and of course new music by Sean Kosa.

D.Vices is a project of Jack Coleman, a DJ, producer, event organizer and live performer based in Portland, Oregon. Andre Elektro Morales is a Florida-based DJ with over 30 years in the game, known for his deep crates, precision mixing, and unapologetic passion for the music. He came up at the legendary Painted Puppy record store, working alongside and learning from Florida breakbeat legend Rick West, with key mentorship from B-Nice of Funklab and Adam Grow of Ohverclock and CHP Recordings Ltd. A proud member of Tampa’s own Krimefyter hip hop crew, Andre was part of a rare and humbling moment: a guest mix for the late, great Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio 1. For Elektro, this journey has never been about chasing clout—it’s about paying respect to those who came before, repping the ones who stand for the real, and letting the music do what it was always meant to do: move people.

Alavux is a highly respected electro-techno artist from Serbia, known for his fast-paced, tenacious sounds and his dedication to representing the underground music scene in Eastern Europe. For over two decades,Alavux has been a driving force in the industry, leading his E75 crew with passion and commitment.
