Streetside Philosophy's second album Cliffhanger is a deep dive into the core style of the band, and explores a gritty side of the indie / alternative genre. It channels the anger and frustration of communities left to fend for themselves amidst bureaucratic failures and political negligence.
From underfunded emergency services to delayed disaster aid, the song exposes the systemic issues that have worsened the wildfire crisis.

In January 2025, the Palisades Fire alone destroyed over 12,000 structures and claimed 25 lives... Yet leadership was absent when it mattered most.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was criticized for being abroad during the crisis and for cutting $17.6 million from the fire department's budget beforehand.
Governor Gavin Newsom also faced public outrage for his administration's lack of preparedness and slow response.

"Everything’s Burning" is more than a song. it’s a demand for accountability and a tribute to those who’ve suffered due to systemic neglect.
