I'm taking another songwriting workshop from Jesse Ogle at Roots Music Project, and it's doing what I hoped it would: forcing me to step outside of my ruts, norms, and hang-ups. After finishing school today, I came home to record the first assignment for the workshop, and it's also the first song I've written in the dream-pop genre. Mixing (and singing) for this genre is a whole other animal, and I definitely don't have it down yet. Even so, you'll probably be able to hear what this song is about--snow and snow and love and snow. (If you're in Colorado, you'll know.)
