There’s a Glitch in the Séance is scored for percussion quartet and fixed electronics, connecting music of the past with contemporary percussion instrumentation.  Samples of madrigals, recorder, and harpsichord are conjured through the loose narrative of a séance, which the performers initiate, control, manipulate, and react to.  The quartet was written for the Los Angeles Percussion Quartet (LAPQ) as a part of the 2017 LAPQ Composer Initiative at Chapman University.
