This instrumental leans into a future dance language shaped by rāga colors, Africano percussion, and the fire of improvisation. It’s part of the growing Cybernetic Fusion series exploring where old worlds and new sound meet. 



CyberRāga Fusion

This piece grew out of my fascination with the winter colors of Central Asia and the quiet radiance of Maqom, especially the Navo mode. I wanted to imagine December not as a cold stillness but as a breath along the old Silk Road, where melody and memory wake together. The Uzbek version came first, shaped in a traditional barmoq meter, and from that the English singing version unfolded. You’ll hear the sense of distance, caravan roads, instruments stirring at dawn, and that soft glow only winter can bring. This is a tribute to the musicians of Bukhara and to the way music keeps ancient roads alive.

“Dekabr Navo” carries the quiet glow of winter along the old Silk Road, inspired by Uzbek maqom and the Navo mode. A gentle shimmer, a bright breath, a melody waking in the frost.

“Dekabrning Yo‘li” — (The Path of December)

Take Heed

This piece began with the news of an older observatory surfacing beneath the sands of Peru, a place where moonlight once threaded through a narrow corridor long before the famous towers were raised. I wondered how that quiet kind of knowledge might have felt to the people who shaped it, so the erhu traces the searching voice, the pipa follows the shifting lines of shadow and stone, and the guzheng carries the breath of the desert opening its history again. The whole song unfolded like dust lifting off an old doorway, revealing something that had been waiting.

A new Qin Silk piece grew from the discovery of a hidden observatory beneath the Peruvian desert, older than anyone expected. Erhu, pipa, and guzheng follow the idea of moonlight returning to a forgotten corridor and the earth sharing a memory once more.
