Langley, VA — The Central Intelligence Agency acknowledges the recent public discussion surrounding a music track created by a former employee who unlawfully disclosed classified information. As a result of ongoing legal proceedings, rights to this track have been transferred to the U.S. government.  

While the CIA’s mission remains focused on safeguarding national security, we recognize the public’s interest in this matter. At this time, no decision has been made regarding the track’s distribution or future use. We continue to emphasize that unauthorized disclosure of classified material is a serious offense, regardless of the medium in which it occurs.  

We appreciate the public’s understanding as we navigate this unique situation and will provide further updates as appropriate.
