Lost souls are roaming with their eyes all glazed
Too many people living on the streets these days

She flinches to avoid that kick
Spit flying from some drunken dick
Laughs ringing as they torch his tent
Back  sleeping on the cold cement
Rows of bodies all their souls broken
Learn to sleep with an eye open
Pushed further down the waiting list
Stats buried like they don’t exist

Noble claims about their own grassroots
Silky words help the election
Empty shit with no direction
Have some B&B please we insist
So we can take you off the housing list
Stick a plaster on a broken leg
