An early stand out of our 2014 releases, “The One EP” firmly established Lane 8 as one of the most exciting young artists around, picking up heavy support from Pete Tong, The Magician and Tensnake.

Following the heavy-hitting Klangkarussell Remix that featured on the EP, Matt Lange, Baio and Bhok come together on a diverse, genre spanning remix package.

Matt Lange takes “The One” on a techy journey, twisting the searing bass of the original into a subtle, hypnotic melody, surrounded by trademark Matt Lange atmospherics and the infectious vocal.

“Nothing You Can Say” gets the remix treatment from Baio, who as well as being a Grammy winning member of Vampire Weekend is also making a name for himself with his solo productions on Greco-Roman and Future Classic. A quirky blend of stuttering clicks and warm flowing bass, his mix once again brings the gorgeous vocal of Lucy Stone to the fore.

Rounding off the package is a remix from up and coming UK producer Bhok, who’s early productions have garnered him the support of XLR8R. He brings his bass heavy style to “The One”, creating a complex low end roller.

The Bearded Man once was deep in love with someone who suffered from short term memory loss. This was, of course, YEARS before Finding Dory, and he'll always secretly suspect that he inspired the tale, but that's the subject of another rant. In any case, a lot of people just see the downsides of short term memory loss. It's tragic to think that a loved one won't remember you from moment to moment. The Bearded Man really liked this gorgeous girl, but she would never remember him no matter what he did or said. He watched The Notebook, then he had a brilliant idea. He just kept telling this girl that they were already in love, and that they had been for years, and he kept telling her to remember when they were in love. None of it was true, but he figured, "She'll never know the difference anyways!" And he was absolutely right. It worked like a charm. Remember young players, creativity and thinking outside the box are key.

Claptone is a very unique proposition in modern music. So Claptone seeks not to create a world of secrecy, but one of great depth and intrigue. As one of the businest touring DJs and most prificfic producers around, Claptone is constantly unveiling more about the world he draws inspirstion from.  

An enigma with a tirless desire for creativity and thirst for new music, Claptone has brought together a diverse group of collaborators such as Boc Party’s Kele Okereke, Blaenavon, Tender, Jones, Zola Blood, Austra’s Katie Stelmanis, The Boxer Rebellion’s Nathan Nicholson, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Matt Simons  

The first single In The Night features the vocals of Ben Duffy, which paired with Claptone’s insistent and upbeat production, makes for an exquistley executed electronic pop gem. It marks an engaging opening snapshot for what will be a milestone in his already glittering career. 







We caught a glimpse of his ambition to produce a body of work in Claptone’s debut artist album Charmer which has scored over 60million streams and counting, but it’s in Fantast that Claptone really delves deeper into the art of songwirting. 

2018 will see another intense year of touring with Claptone presenting his immersive Masquerade event experience at bigger venues and festivals having built momentum over the last 18 months hosting events at Tomorrowland, Melt Festival, Elrow at Amnesia Ibiza, Green Valley Brazil, Melbourne St Kilda and more.
