Algia is a dj and producer from Hungary.
Until 2016, he was just a simple party goer, but then he won a mix contest and received the opportunity to play at a party called "FLTH" which is a Dark Techno party series based in Budapest at club "Supersonic" where he became a resident.

After two years of DJing he started to learn how to produce his own music and soon got his first release. He is still learning and trying to improve his sound, which will be familiar, if you ever be around a smelter.

It is our pleasure to welcome Fernanda Martins back to Global Vibe Radio, this time featuring tracks by Anders (BR), Arkan, AETHERIK, Decka, Eerie Volver , Gaston Zani, Joton, Kameliia, Kribs, Kwartz, Michal Jablonski , Oliver Rosemann, Pfirter, Phara, PWCCA , NØRBAK, Sigvard, TWR72, VØIDIST and more.

Techno & Hard Techno DJ/Producer Fernanda Martins is nowadays considered one of the biggest female artists in the world’s Techno scene.

Born in 1982 in Medianeira city, Brazil Fernanda fell in love with music since she was very little, when she discovered Rock, Pop and the New Wave sound from the '80s and '90s. 

As her interest in music and emerging sounds expanded, she began digging and discovered artists such as Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke and Mauro Piccoto. 

Later on, she would become interested in the work of artists such Dave the Drummer, Glenn Wilson, Adam Beyer, among others, highlighting that her preference was always for techno, right from the beginning. 

Through the '90s she began playing and producing techno, funky and acid-tinged at first, then working on improving her technique and ability while mixing all the different variations of techno. 

Through the years since, Fernanda began to expand the range of her musical possibilities and started to add harder and harder soundscapes to her sets, as well as digging deeper into the darker realms of techno with her productions and as label co-founder of devotionrecordsofficial, Hardwork Records and AudioCode Recs.

Im Jahre 2019 fing er an sich hinter dem Mischpult selbst zu entdecken. Im Jahr 2020 veröffentlichte er seine ersten dunklen und flotten Sets bei Soundcloud. Der absolute Höhepunkt in seiner noch jungen Laufbahn hatte er dann in diesem Jahr. Gleich bei seinem ersten Gig durfte er in seinem Lieblingsclub der E-Küche seinen Sound zum besten geben.

He began his DJ career with a residency at Duel Club in Naples and since then he’s played DJ gigs all over Italy and Europe. He’s currently the creator, coordinator and artistic director of the “4 The Beat” music movement in Naples and this is the third time he’s been on the show.

He runs two regular mix series on his You Tube & Soundcloud pages. Deep Vibes features progressive and melodic house whilst Techno Vibes is mostly Peak Time Techno. His mix begins with a some driving techno before moving on to peak time and finishing with some older banging tracks. .

In 2021 he was voted ‘Best Male Techno DJ’ at the Indulgence With A Twist Up & Comer Awards!

Dichter

Dichter aka Antonio Laštro lives in Nova Gradiška, Croatia. He discovered techno relatively recently when he randomly attended a party at Club Porin in his hometown. He fell in love with the genre and he began going to more and more techno parties.

In 2019 he came across Dark Techno as a genre and he knew that it was the style for him!

He already had some experience producing hip hop beats so he tried to produce some of his own Dark Techno, inspired and influenced by artists such as NoCure, Otin, Hefty, Noseda, D.N.S. and others. Since then he has had the opportunity to DJ at some of his hometown clubs and also private parties, and wishes to continue to explore more of the darkside of techno and to develop his unique style.

Kristonov was born and raised in Zagreb, Croatia. At the tender age of 14 he was introduced by a friend to his first techno party featuring Fernanda Martins and immedietly fell in love with the hard techno sound.

After around a year he began to DJ at home, at some private partys that he and his neighborhood friends organised and then into his hometown club. However, he found that his tastes were changing and began to look for something different. This lead him to discover Dark Techno and he became influenced by artists such as Max Weit, Hefty, Noseda, Timao and Kai Pattenberg.

Kristonov is keen to keep developing his own style and presence in the underground scene and to connect/collab with artists who share the same passion for Dark Techno.

He’s been a DJ / Producer since the 90's and has played many different styles under aliases such as Kernzy & Klemenza, Bossgroove & Padraig Ballyer. Now his focus is on Techno and he’s wasting no time serving up his own blend behind the decks and with the Dublin based Ceol Crua record label, which he runs and it’s on its 3rd release with support of artists like Leftfield, Perc, Marcel Dettmann, DAVE the Drummer, Chris Liberator, Slam & Dax J.

Originally from Austin, Texas he’s known for his explosive DJ sets and turntable-style trickery. He’s performed at events across North and Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Germany, and Malta. His tracks have been released on Codex, Tronic, Octopus, Unity, Set About and many others, with 19 top 100 techno chart singles. His mix consists of Mavic Music releases including all five tracks from the forthcoming VA album Impressions Vol 3, which includes my next release, ‘Rave Chant’.

BIO:

Belgian based Dj and producer Mike Tohr started his musical adventure back in 2008. As a DJ Mike always tries to create a story, he will take you on a trip between deep-melodic and progressive music.

Mike Tohr has played in the best Belgian clubs like Fuse, Ampere, AB, Labyrinth club, Vaag and has played on the famous Diynamic stage at Tomorrowland! Today Mike has already shared the decks with name’s like Stephan Bodzin, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, HVOB, Recondite, Hunter/Game and many more.

With a love for nature he often takes his recording equipment with him into the woods. Here he records samples that he uses to create his own unique organic sound.

What and who is A Darker Wave?
We are a duo (jacki-e & p-mac) who present A Darker Wave every week only on NLive Radio, Circl8 Radio, Echo Radio & Chill Lover Radio. We put the show together in our home studio. The show is streamed worldwide on the internet. Each show is posted on our Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Hearthis.at, Podbean and You Tube pages once it has been streamed and presents the best in new techno releases.
We also play gigs as A Darker Wave and we have played at events in Germany and all over the UK.
The music we play is techno, tech house, deep house and anything else we like enough to include in the show.
Each show is 2 hours long. In the first hour we go into the mix with our featured EP of the week and the best of the new releases.
In the second hour we invite new and upcoming DJs to come onto the show and do a guest mix.

Why are you called A Darker Wave?
Dark Wave was first used in the 1980s to describe a dark and melancholy variant of new wave and post-punk music and was first applied to UK musicians such as Bauhaus, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode and Anne Clark. It was also used to describe artists who combined music with performance art, such as Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, who challenged and explored the darker and obsessive sides of the human condition.

A lot of techno takes its spirit and ethos from this music, Listen to Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire and you can hear the industrial sounds which are a staple of techno music today.

Techno is the outsider of electronic dance music, the punk of today's modern music scene. As Dave Clarke said in an interview with Mixmag, " Techno is edgy. Techno will challenge you......it's the real dark art."

Our radio show, in presenting the best in underground techno and deep house music, and in giving an opportunity for new, up and coming DJ's and producers, is providing an outlet for new techno, which is best described as being the new wave of modern dance music.

Not just a new wave, but with it's incessant bass rumblings, synthesiser drones, pounding drums, melodic top notes and eerie, distorted vocal samples, techno, in all its forms, is a backdrop to and a critique of our post-industrial, consumerist society, one in which our actions are observed 24/7, our democratic freedoms are threatened by our very own governments and our rights to do, think and act as we please are under ever increasing scrutiny. Techno really is A Darker Wave.

When we were listening to music in the 60’s and 70’s, before the electronic tentacles of technology infiltrated the world, we often thought, whilst listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Captain Beefhart, New York Dolls and Roxy Music, where would music go to in the future? It could never be what was being portrayed in the science fiction movies of the time. Now we know. It can be anything. When we have a recording studio in our own home which is more powerful and versatile than anything available back then, we now know music can be anything and go anywhere. It is only the spark of our imaginations, or lack of it, that holds us back. On our laptop computers we have the capabilities that many artists back then would have given their right arms for. It’s for the uniqueness of the artist to express themselves to be able to stand out from the deluge of music available. Finding those gems is the modern day equivalent of crate digging and when you do, it makes it all worthwhile. Long live music!!!!
