The guest mix in the second hour is by Azza Huasca who’s from Queensland, Australia. His style is a fluid mix of house, tribal and world beats. He’s played all over the world including sunsets on the beach in Tulum, Mexico and many other weird and wonderful places. His mix consists entirely of tracks from the forthcoming Frisson Records Various Artists album ‘Alchemists of Tyranny’ released on 6th Dec 2022 and curated by Andertwin.

ErickFM is a Spanish DJ and producer who has had his first contact with the world of mixing and production since 2013. The genres that were his main influence on electronic music were Trance, going through EDM and House and finally by Tech House and Techno where he began his first mixes of his favorite genres.

He currently produces Techno, with its variants Driving Techno and Deep / Progressive Techno although he is also delving into the world of Hard Techno. He mixes these genres from 128 BPM to 155 BMP and his style is varied in both Techno and Hard Techno, mixing genres like Trance, RAW, ACID, PSYHARD in sets over 140 BMP.

What and who is A Darker Wave?
We are a duo (jacki-e & p-mac) who present A Darker Wave every week only on NLive Radio, Circl8 Radio, Echo Radio & Chill Lover Radio. We put the show together in our home studio. The show is streamed worldwide on the internet. Each show is posted on our Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Hearthis.at, Podbean and You Tube pages once it has been streamed and presents the best in new techno releases.
We also play gigs as A Darker Wave and we have played at events in Germany and all over the UK.
The music we play is techno, tech house, deep house and anything else we like enough to include in the show.
Each show is 2 hours long. In the first hour we go into the mix with our featured EP of the week and the best of the new releases.
In the second hour we invite new and upcoming DJs to come onto the show and do a guest mix.

Why are you called A Darker Wave?
Dark Wave was first used in the 1980s to describe a dark and melancholy variant of new wave and post-punk music and was first applied to UK musicians such as Bauhaus, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode and Anne Clark. It was also used to describe artists who combined music with performance art, such as Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, who challenged and explored the darker and obsessive sides of the human condition.

A lot of techno takes its spirit and ethos from this music, Listen to Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire and you can hear the industrial sounds which are a staple of techno music today.

Techno is the outsider of electronic dance music, the punk of today's modern music scene. As Dave Clarke said in an interview with Mixmag, " Techno is edgy. Techno will challenge you......it's the real dark art."

Our radio show, in presenting the best in underground techno and deep house music, and in giving an opportunity for new, up and coming DJ's and producers, is providing an outlet for new techno, which is best described as being the new wave of modern dance music.

Not just a new wave, but with it's incessant bass rumblings, synthesiser drones, pounding drums, melodic top notes and eerie, distorted vocal samples, techno, in all its forms, is a backdrop to and a critique of our post-industrial, consumerist society, one in which our actions are observed 24/7, our democratic freedoms are threatened by our very own governments and our rights to do, think and act as we please are under ever increasing scrutiny. Techno really is A Darker Wave.

When we were listening to music in the 60’s and 70’s, before the electronic tentacles of technology infiltrated the world, we often thought, whilst listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Captain Beefhart, New York Dolls and Roxy Music, where would music go to in the future? It could never be what was being portrayed in the science fiction movies of the time. Now we know. It can be anything. When we have a recording studio in our own home which is more powerful and versatile than anything available back then, we now know music can be anything and go anywhere. It is only the spark of our imaginations, or lack of it, that holds us back. On our laptop computers we have the capabilities that many artists back then would have given their right arms for. It’s for the uniqueness of the artist to express themselves to be able to stand out from the deluge of music available. Finding those gems is the modern day equivalent of crate digging and when you do, it makes it all worthwhile. Long live music!!!!

Hi everyone. My name is Stilyan.
I was born and raised in Rousse, Bulgaria on December 26, 1994. At the age of 18, I felt deep satisfaction and adrenaline from electronic music while I was dancing basically in the types of techno, many times and house. At the beginning of 2021 (COVID-19), I finished my work as a chef and focused my time and energy on the music I make. Between 14 and 20 years old, I was active in the rap culture. I was surprised to touch the mixing as a joke, came across software for mixing from a smartphone fun but nervously assembling from the widget ..Sometimes mixed and recorded for more than an hour with the headphones - at times I even liked them, but the phone's memory was a problem. Six months later I was relatively more confident in what I was doing I did get my first controller it turned out to be the last piece, maybe luck. Dreaming about a career, why not? I followed the pace and rhythm on myself, tried to learn to control myself with my hand's music and discovered a whole new world behind it. Driven by my new hobby started to be more professional in everything. The lack of theory and practice makes me self-taught as a musician, but I'm enthusiastically relying on strong imagination, ingenuity, and consistency in selection. I can’t just write DJ in front of my name while I am not Being "DJ" for me is a long way of practicing and trying to deserve the title. A few months later I am grateful and glad to write my bio, and ready to communicate and share experiences I would help everyone with what I can with the realization of a dream like mine. Роден съм и израснах в Русе, България на 26 декември 1994 г. На 18 години изпитах дълбоко удовлетворение и адреналин от електронната музика, докато танцувах основно в стиловете техно, много пъти и хаус. В началото на 2021 г. (COVID-19) приключих работата си като готвач и съсредоточих времето и енергията си върху музиката, която правя.Между 14 и 17 годишен,активно бях в рап културатата. Бях изненадан да се докосна до миксирането като на шега, попаднах на софтуер за миксиране от смартфон забавно, но нервно сглобяване от джаджа..Понякога смесвах и записвах повече от час със слушалките - на моменти дори ги харесвах, но паметта на телефона беше проблем. Шест месеца по-късно бях относително по-уверен в това, което правя, взех първия си контролер, оказа се, че е последното парче, може би късмет.. Мечтая за кариера, защо не.. Следя темпото и ритъма върху себе си и опитвайки се да се науча да контролирам с ръцете си музиката, открих цял нов свят зад нея. Воден от новото си хоби започнах да бъда по-професионален във всичко. Липсата на теория и практика ме прави самоук като музикант, но съм ентусиазиран, разчитайки на силно въображение, изобретателност и последователност в подбора. Не мога просто да напиша "DJ" зад името си, не съм. As a  DJ Manjit was involved in the London club scene for two decades, starting when the underground  scene was at it’s peak. 

In 2012 he set up psytrance audio/visual act Beat Pushers and released his first EP, Piccadilly Circus.

Today Manjit is producing his own tracks and releasing them through various record labels such as BABA, Pan Music Records, Global Techno Alliance, Eternity Sounds, RevKon Records and of course through Audiobrain Productions.

Unfortunately now Manjit’s RA reached a level which meant he could no longer DJ. Unable to continue with his passion for playing music to a live audience Manjit now directs his energy into creating music in his studio. So now, through Audiobrain, Manjit releases his free downloads and EP’s and also through various other labels while he continues to battle with his pain. Despite the issues caused by his health he has  a passionate motivation for the genre of electronic music and is continuously extending his knowledge and skills in this area. He is interested in supporting others with their projects as long as they are able to keep an open mind regarding how his health can affect him day to day.
