Da Heist is a Miami based artist of Dominican decent, born in the Caribbean December 17, 1986. At the age of 5 his family migrated to Miami, FL to a tight knit town called Allapattah. Growing up he describe music as a crucial tool in his adaptation to a new culture and language.

"Cool Cat" I am an independent musician/writer ranging from Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, and Afro beat genres. Born and raised in Miami, FL, has traveled numerous States, Cities, and Countries with goals to reach the masses with my artistry and music ability, along with meeting and networking with like minded individuals.

 While most artists categorize their music to a specific genre, JAYGUIRA breaks all the barriers. While extending his creativity in a plethora of music that ranges from HOUSE music to POP/ & R&B. Born in Washington Heights (Alto Manhattan), New York, JAYGUIRA always had a passion for music. At a young age he was part of a Dominican dancing group known as the Centro Cultural Ballet Quisqueya, which was established by their aunt, Normandía Maldonado in 1966. He performed at local auditoriums and Hispanic Day parades & events in the city. 
  After moving to Miami, Florida in the mid 90’s he was also part of a Spanish hip hop group called the City Boys. In 2002, they were introduced to Carlos Restrepo, an aspiring rapper from Fort Lauderdale, Florida who founded 1Life© Entertainment. 
  The three became roommates while attending college in Tallahassee, Florida thats where the group MOHIGANGA was formed alongside his first-cousin rafy contigo, but unfortunately after a long run with numerous performances and there hit single Escandalosa that created a buzz in South Florida the group fell apart due to differences in there VISIONS as far as there music careers.
 Today JAYGUIRA announced he is now a solo artist and had transitioned his sound into the HIP HOP & RNB World  and is back and better than ever currently working on his first debut EP titled NO FAVORS with 173 entertainment, which will feature production from various Miami  producers. JAYGUIRA is determined to bring a new flavor to the industry that will set him apart. His unique sound can be heard on the first single, "ISSUES" featuring heavy hitter YOUNG BREED from Maybach Music Group (MMG)& Miami's Own Down South Poet DA HEIST you can listen to it right here on sound cloud
