Alex Gold is a British born music producer and the creative A&R and founder behind the iconic and legendary Xtravaganza Record label, now celebrating 27 years in existence. As a true visionary, Alex has been involved in over 56 UK National Top 40 Hit records, 2 UK National No.1 Hit records, and has had his hand in over 15 million record sales. Having worked & collaborated with artists including Bryan Adams, Prince, Marie Brennan (of Clannad), Annie Lennox, Phil Oakey, Chuck D of Public Enemy & Ice T; Alex has also been responsible for launching some of the biggest names in Dance Music today, including the likes of No.1 Dutch DJ & talent Armin Van Buuren (whose debut single Blue Fear was released by Gold’s Xtravaganza label in 1997). Alex is also credited with the executive production and inception of multi-million selling Chicane. In the early part of Alex Gold’s career, he learnt his trade through working in independent UK music distribution where he worked on campaigns for labels such as Mute Records with Depeche Mode & Erasure. In 1996, Gold founded Xtravaganza Recordings, which became a multi-million selling record label and is synonymous with the Ibiza dance sound we know today. Xtravaganza is now approaching its 30th Anniversary. Alex Gold is a true Ibiza and Balearic pioneer having first performed on the island in 1989 and then subsequently featured on and promoted his own Headline Residency Xtravaganza Nights at Privilege & the legendary Space Ibiza Club.

Mike Williams is a seasoned musician and songwriter based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Drawing inspiration from iconic acts like the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Klaatu, and the timeless sound of classic Chicago blues, he has been crafting original music since the late 1970s.

During the 1980s, Mike actively pitched his songs, seeking a recording or publishing deal in the industry. By the 1990s, however, he grew disillusioned with the increasingly formulaic demands of major labels. Turning inward, he and his brother began writing and recording their original material in a dedicated 4-track home studio, building a rich catalog of unreleased work.

Today, Mike continues to share his music through projects like the Yesteryear Project, which revives and re-records gems from his earlier years.

In late 2011, Mike decided to write, record and produce his debut album Leaving Dystopia which was released in February 2013 and remastered in December 2022. Leaving Dystopia continues to be widely listened to across the world.

In 2018, Mike released his follow-up album, Hollow Moon which contains 8 original songs. Hollow Moon was remixed and remastered in November 2023.

In May 2023, Mike released his third album No More Gods, consisting of 10 original tracks.

In December 2023, Mike released two compilation albums: A Decade of Rockers and A Decade of Blues and Ballads. The collections span ten years of his original music from 2013 to 2023. Both albums can be purchased on Bandcamp.

In December 2025, Mike released Love Roller Coaster on vinyl. Love Roller Coaster features eight previously released tracks from Mike, including his top streamed song in 2025, Wrecking Ball. The album is now available and ships from the UK. Ordering details can be found in the vinyl releases section below.

Mike is currently working on the Yesteryear Project. The objective of the project is to record and release unreleased original songs and demos from the 1979 to 1992 time period. Some of the songs were recorded on 4 and 8 tracks, while others were recorded on reel-to-reel and cassette. The objective is to release a 10-song album in both digital and vinyl formats by early 2026, with tentative plans for a second album by the end of 2027. Since February 2013, when Mike released Leaving Dystopia, his catalog of songs has been streamed 8.7 million times on major streaming sites as well as receiving 506,500 listens on Soundcloud and 28,300 plays on Reverbnation..
