I have been a fan of U2 for a long time and I had Rattle and Hum on cassette back in the 80s. However, for some reason I didn't know that Bob Dylan co-wrote this song and only found out recently. I sang the words on memory and ad libbed a bit so they may not be 100% accurate. Hope you enjoy!

Tascam cassette archive find. Morry and I were asked to perform this early 70s  song at a friend's mother's wedding in 1991. We had never heard the song before but our friend's mom liked the original Paul Stookey/Peter, Paul and Mary version of it I think - and she was nice enough to risk asking us... two not so responsibility young guys to perform it. We had both just graduated college in May of '90 and had returned to Louisville. We practiced the song for the week or two leading up to the ceremony and recorded this live take on our Tascam in our apartment as part of prepping. I think we may have sent the tape to the bride as sort of a proof of life gesture - that we actually took learning it seriously enough to be trusted at the wedding. When the time came, we packed up Morry's round-back Ovation acoustic guitar and drove to the wedding in Chicago. Stayed with the friend and his family for the weekend. One of the most fun weddings, from what I can remember of it lol  I really like Morry's guitar playing on this. Hope our FB friends enjoy.

Stookey had first performed the song at the wedding of Peter Yarrow—Stookey's co-member of Peter Paul & Mary—to Mary Beth McCarthy at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar, Minnesota. Stookey was best man at the ceremony, which took place in the evening of October 18, 1969.

Stookey recorded "Wedding Song (There Is Love)" for his solo album Paul and, which was released on July 23, 1971. On this track he accompanied himself on a 12-string guitar tuned a tone and a half down. On June 28, 1971, "Wedding Song" was issued as an advance single from the Paul and album. It reached No. 24 on the Hot 100 in Billboard and reached No. 3 on the Easy Listening chart.[2] Internationally, Stookey reached No. 31 in Canada and No. 55 in Australia with "Wedding Song".

You have to emphasise it these days: this is not AI created music (even if it would sound better then.. ha ha … no). I wrote all the tracks and played every single note. I‘m not against AI. It can help you in your creative process when you stuck. Or it can be an inspiration. Or it can make your music better. So I would try it too. But in the end it should be the music coming from my heart and mind.
