Deneb intro

Re-embracing hope in present and past science fiction.

 A heavy dub of Nachtmusik. Admittedly the name 'New Nubia Space Station' is a bit too conceptually obvious and pretentious, but it kind of stuck. Working title was 'ambient step dub', next idea was 'Octavia Butler', name of the sci-fi novel author Octavia Butler, which in turn almost noone would understand who or what it refers to. (she is often named as the inventor of afrofuturism). 

The new name is inspired by two contemperary novels by Omar Epps & Clarence A. Haynes. 'Nubia - The Reckoning' and the follow up 'Nubia - The Awakening'. Definitely more down to earth than the 'Black Panther' franchise. Dystopic, yet entertaining and hopeful.

A glowing synth-driven journey through nocturnal echoes, Luminetic Bloom blends analog textures, shimmering leads and smooth harmonics in a cinematic space of emotion.

Through The Dark

The vocals immediately catch your ear there’s a smooth, soulful vibe that strongly recalls Tenobi’s delivery on “What You Need.” The tone and phrasing feel intimate and effortlessly controlled, giving the track an emotional undercurrent that elevates the deep chill-house foundation. Whether it’s the same voice or just a striking similarity, it works beautifully in the context of the arrangement. Your ears won’t let go!

Aufgenommen bei der Veranstaltung Space Techno, organisiert vom großartigen Kolibri Collective. Danke an alle, die da waren – an die Helfer, die Quatschnasen im Außenbereich und ganz besonders an die Tänzer:innen auf der Tanzfläche. Die Atmosphäre war einfach gigantisch!

Das Set baut sich Stück für Stück auf: von groovigem House über Deep House und Minimal bis hin zu treibendem Techno – und verknüpft dabei viele elektronische Genres miteinander.
