it’s with a genuine enthusiasm that we announce our next release: this extensive compilation will be the fifth of the label and thus the best way to celebrate our fifth birthday !

From ambient to techno, and everything in-between, Various Artists 005 will proudly feature some of the regular contributors to the catalogue, as well as an expert selection of new faces. Among them, Accou (esoteric musician, member of Indian Red Head crew), Matthias Puech (synth designer, researcher at INA GRM), Sonhan (DJ/Producer, co-organiser of Metropolis events in Brussels), Time Scale Dilation Lab (aka Ersatz Olfolks), Polygonia (DJ/Producer, creative director of Lowless), Daniel[i] (DJ/Producer, manager of Whispering Signals), Launaea (Producer, manager of From A Lost Place).

Greetings, Virescence Records presents its next release in physical (Vinyl) and digital formats. In our first part of this series to commemorate the second year of Virescence, once again the brilliant minds of our staff of producers resurface, giving us some masterful tracks to form a true sound ensemble.

We futurists have deeply loved the harmonies of the great masters and have enjoyed them. Beethoven and Wagner have been messing with our nerves and hearts for many years. Now we enjoy much more ideally combining the noises of trains, internal combustion engines, floats and screaming crowds, And so we are educating and teaching our minds how infinite you can feel and generate through music, a true tool of expression that will live forever.

Opposites coexist in an eternal loom that intertwines it all.
There is a magnetic energy, a sort of attraction between them that allows balance to exist.

We usually tend to see Nature and Machinery as opposites. But are they really?
There's undoubtedly a strong correlation between the evolution of one and the other and we can usually see machines & technology as another layer in Nature's realms.

Art & creations made through machines usually allow us to innerly explore diverse aspects of nature and understand them from another perspective. Many times music created using machines takes us to natural landscapes and helps us find inner connection with nature itself.
Whether they are opposites or not, we are strong believers that there is a potential balance within the coexistance of Nature and Machinery.

This dual compilation is intended to prove it.

Like a foggy morning in the Bwindi forest, the latest track by multidisciplinary French artist Clément Davout aka Adhémar, calms your senses and creates a feeling of tranquility. ‘Bwindi’ builds on Adhémar’s signature low-slung techno enriched with organic percussions and beautiful field recordings. It’s a meditative journey ideal for moments of self-reflection. 

Bwindi is part of the ‘Primärwald’ compilation, which is coming out on December 8th and marks the inauguration of the Lyon-based record label Monochrome.

From the need to contribute and relieve a little the social and economic problem that is currently being experienced in the country due to the emergency of COVID-19, From a Lost Place has brought together local and international artists who have joined the cause to, through music, try to help the most vulnerable. 100% of the money raised on Bandcamp will be donated in two parts: One for Santa Cruz del Islote, an artificial island located in the San Bernardo archipelago (Colombia) and considered one of the most populated islands in the world, which It sustains itself economically through tourism and now finds itself with a lack of food and medicine supplies. The other part will go to the Fundación Rediseñándonos, located in Bogotá and whose initiative is the reintegration of vulnerable people and street dwellers through weaving and clothing. Right now and due to the current situation, this home needs to stock up on food and raw materials to continue working for those who need it. 

Many thanks to all the artists involved in this project, thank you for accepting and believing in this initiative that today is finally coming true!

A partir de la necesidad de contribuir y aliviar un poco el problema social y económico que se está viviendo actualmente en Colombia debido a la emergencia del COVID-19, From a Lost Place ha reunido artistas locales e internacionales que se han sumado a la causa para, a través de la música, tratar de ayudar a los más vulnerables. El 100% del dinero recaudado en Bandcamp será donado en dos partes: Una para Santa Cruz del Islote, una isla artificial ubicada en el archipiélago de San Bernardo y considerada una de las islas más pobladas del mundo, la cual se sostiene económicamente por el turismo y ahora se encuentra con falta de abastecimiento de comida y medicamentos. La otra parte se destinará a la Fundación Rediseñándonos, ubicada en Bogotá (COL) y que tiene como iniciativa la reinserción de personas vulnerables y habitantes de calle por medio del tejido y la confección. Adhémar - See The Light Through The Leaves

The Stellar Transitions adventure started three years ago, with the beginning of the "Stellar Series" podcast channel, dedicated to the exploration of ambient, drone and experimental music related to the hypnotic techno scene. Now as there's almost 50 episodes on the channel, it's time to unveil the second part of the adventure. Here is the very first release of the Stellar Transitions music label.

This is the first chapter of a new serie of V.A. releases with tracks from artists that have already contributed to the podcast channel in the past. You have to know, Stellar Transitions is a project about light - this serie will tell the spiritual story of the light through a 24-hour earth day.

The first track, from french Martin Goodwin, is a solar track that evolves between distant noise, organic drones and a big work on the textures.
The second, from french Adhémar, is a 10 minutes meditative ambient track that inspire to an exploration on the deeper side of your inner self. Close your eyes.
With the third from another french as Vâyu, the first light of the day starts to appear. The beautiful synth pads, the sparkling percs and the moving bassline leads you to a transcendental journey.
The fourth and last is from serbian Zhe Pechorin, and its name, "On My Way to Home", sounds like an evidence at the listening : this emotive, soothing ambient track is the accurate soundtrack to the end of a long night, at the moment where you see the first sunbeams on the way back to home. A beautiful epilogue to the journey.

Now, the dawn breaks.

C12 is a multidisciplinary nightclub and platform run by the Deep in House collective, located in the heart of Brussels. It's a safe place where freedom, diversity, creativity and alternative culture are protected from the restrictive and normative outside world. The project was launched in February 2018 and includes concerts, art installations, lives, club nights and exhibitions.

The Corona crisis is keeping our doors closed and dancefloor empty for several weeks now, with no hopes yet on new line-ups and crowds of enthusiastic dancers. But this unprecedented situation isn’t holding us still. Continuing to support our local Brussels and Belgian electronic music scene, C12 is proud to announce its own label with 10 music compilations dubbed Social Distancing. All artists involved are Belgian or strongly connected to the Brussels scene. Confirmed are Le Motel, Stellar OM Source, A.Brehme, Front De Cadeaux, Davy, OCB Casa Voyager, Cabasa, Techno Thriller, Orphan Swords, Different Fountains, Bear Bones Lay Low, Gols, Hadone, ... and our residents Session 4000, Kafim & Chris Ferreira. Compilations will also be curated by female artists promoting platform ‘Psst Mlle’ and queer culture collective ‘Benediction’.

Each edition consists of a collection of several tracks and will be released every two weeks, leading to a total of approximately fifty tracks. All music will be available to add on your favorite streaming service Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify and Bandcamp. In addition for each track we offer a limited amount of 500 free downloads through our Bandcamp page, where donations are also enabled for those who wish to support us and the artists involved.
