The act of naming natural elements and human creations through music allows us to go beyond words and return to sensations, pulsations, undulations. This album proposes a rhythmic journey that offers a new look, a new listening on the things of life. The arrangement of the tracks reminds us of a parable: an aerial entrance and exit, and at the depth of its curve percussions give resonance to a primary, primitive relationship to the earth. The three interpretations prolong the sound designations. Adhemar's musical language captures the deep and poetic song of nature and the city, of the inhabitants and the living.

After experiencing Nils Edte's tracks in their original form on 'Organica' we approached Clément Davout aka Adhémar to introduce him to the idea of transforming one or two tracks into longform ambient pieces.

Little did we know but he went on to create a truly unique journey following his own vision already shaping up in his creative mind. By fusing elements and sounds of multiple tracks together he reshapes the original tracks into his very own signature style. A standout track to be mentioned is 'Looking At The Map' where he creates a whole new experience by utilizing samples from all of the original tracks together.

Opposites coexist in an eternal loom that intertwines it all.
There is a magnetic energy, a sort of attraction between them that allows balance to exist.

We usually tend to see Nature and Machinery as opposites. But are they really?
There's undoubtedly a strong correlation between the evolution of one and the other and we can usually see machines & technology as another layer in Nature's realms.

Art & creations made through machines usually allow us to innerly explore diverse aspects of nature and understand them from another perspective. Many times music created using machines takes us to natural landscapes and helps us find inner connection with nature itself.
Whether they are opposites or not, we are strong believers that there is a potential balance within the coexistance of Nature and Machinery.

This dual compilation is intended to prove it.

This summer, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Deep Techno.

Artist biography :

Adhémar is a multidisciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and plastic works. Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and lights, his music is closely linked to his plastic work.
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular report on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material world, immaterial, the fact that everything is in constant becoming). With a particular rigor for the transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJset, his universe is built little by little, according to the sound transformations.

After experiencing Nils Edte's tracks in their original form on 'Organica' we approached Clément Davout aka Adhémar to introduce him to the idea of transforming one or two tracks into longform ambient pieces.

Little did we know but he went on to create a truly unique journey following his own vision already shaping up in his creative mind. By fusing elements and sounds of multiple tracks together he reshapes the original tracks into his very own signature style. A standout track to be mentioned is 'Looking At The Map' where he creates a whole new experience by utilizing samples from all of the original tracks together.

We are truly excited to present this over 50 minute long journey of longform ambient techno!

Nils Edte - Looking At The Map (Adhémar Reshape) [Indefinite Pitch]

Much akin to an auditory vignette, is Clément Davout aka Adhémar’s reshaping of Across Sellenti by Nils Edte. Stretching across 15 minutes, the sonic landscapes shift and scatter with elements fading in and out of existence, giving movement and a sense of unpredictability. Sweeping pads and textures lending a natural edge, evoking imagery of unnamed jungles or forests enveloped by night. All backed in the signature Adhémar fashion with tribal percussion and muted kicks that make his music instantly recognizable.

As part of a longer form release, Adhémar has created a flowing 50 minute journey of Nils Edte’s contributions through his musical lens. Even creating an entirely new track from the elements of the starting material. This reshape, and the rest of the release will be out February 8th.
