Heading the bill, label boss Fedele is joined by a worthy cast of adversaries, including Damon Jee, Stephan Barnem, Works of Intent, Odd Oswald, VNTM, Rez Dorsia, Golden Virgo, Emitr, Juanito State, and Dustin Holtsberry.

Spanning thirteen tracks, The Sound Of Obscura takes you on a spirited journey through a myriad of different genre-loosened vibes. Whether it’s the marauding grittiness ‘Starfield’, the resonant darkness of ‘Healing’ or Works Of Intent’s ‘Limitless Leisure’ that spins you full of synth-rich electro-laced vocal goodness, the collectively pleasant lean away from mainstream techno and focus on sonic storytelling delivers a firm reminder of Fedele’s appeal and his artistic vision for Obscura.

Smash the Rabbit Hole - Against Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories in Club Culture

In the depths of the digital rabbit hole, antisemitic conspiracy theories and disinformation are spreading rapidly, and club culture has not been spared. On 7 October 2023, Hamas committed the largest antisemitic massacre since the Shoah in Israel, murdering 1,200 innocent people, including hundreds of Nova Festival visitors. Many in the club scene remained silent, showing no solidarity with the victims—or worse, propagate anti-Israeli and antisemitic content. Artists who have not been sharing political content in the past, are now adopting one-sided, supposedly pro-Palestinian narratives that often contain antisemitic patterns. These narratives portray Israel as a colonial aggressor, reinforcing radicalisation and leading to the general condemnation of Jewish identities and Zionism. This ideology masquerades as anti-colonial and emancipatory, while in reality, it trivializes and partly glorifies antisemitism.

Furthermore, BDS-related voices in the international and German club scene are calling for a boycott of cultural venues such as Berghain, HÖR Berlin, Conne Island Leipzig, and others, for addressing antisemitism. These calls for boycotts, labeled as an “expression of solidarity with Palestine,” threaten important spaces of cultural exchange financially and damage their reputation. Instead of focusing on mutual understanding, they harden the fronts between “pro-Palestinian” and “pro-Israeli” positions and divide the scene.

So consider asking yourself: what about the artists that I follow? It's a black hole. Hard-won, rather leftist “principles” against antisemitism are being fundamentally questioned. People think that's progressive. Jewish people are incoherently placed under general suspicion, and Zionism, the right to a self-determined Jewish life in the ancestral homeland, is labeled as new fascism.

This mixtape sends a clear signal against these developments. It is a call to question antisemitic narratives, protect free spaces, and fight hate and disinformation. Smash the rabbit hole.

In a way, dance floors are free places. Music connects and builds bridges, beyond origin and language. Everyone is welcome as long as they respect each other.

Portuguese artist Delectatio is a new signing to Silk Sofa. His EP, "Sunrise", features four unique and unforgettable downtempo cuts.

"Numinous" starts with intriguing guitar riffs and enjoyable melodies on top. Soon, intricate percussion elements as well as hypnotizing vocal stems emerge, while the delightful theme melody continues to liven up the soundscape. A blissful guitar line and soothing percussion elements introduce "Be Free". Fascinating vocal stems are added later, thereby adding an extra layer of delicate and refreshing textures. "Remember" begins with a stunning atmosphere, including a number of lush synths and an intricate bassline. A mesmerizing arpeggio melody emerges later, and numerous sound effects continuously spice up the soundscape. The final song in this package is "Latibule". Beautiful melodies are quickly established, and multiple new layers are added on top, as the song progresses. The soothing breakbeat comforts the listener even further.

Do you believe in conincidences?

I don’t - anymore. I used to believe in conincidences but I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason. And that everything in life happens for you, not to you.

So, I have been busying myself with the idea of an remix album of classic tracks of mine for quite some time. But I struggled with the selection of tracks and which remix artist to pair with which track.  Until certain people entered my life. Some of them I only „met“ through their music on social media and never in person, others I met briefly, like in a car to a festival and some I started to hang out with and they became real life friends. All of these people connect with my music and I feel drawn to their music and in many ways we insprire each other.  As a natural result this remix EP took shape and I am excited to present it to you. The record contains four remixes of tracks from my back catalogue that cover a period of 20 (!) years, from my early days on Bush in the mid 90s to my first label Spiel-Zeug Schallplatten in the 00`s up until now, where I run Electric Ballroom from Berlin. Had such a blast playing an extended DJ set in San Francisco last weekend, great to catch up with old friends and meet a few new faces . I managed to record half of the set. This section was recorded roughly 4-5.45 am. I didn’t get any footage during my set however managed to get this shot walking back from the club at around 6.30am. I’ve always enjoyed the sense of calm the early hours bring to a big city.

that was played, heard and hailed worldwide.
