It was a wonderful summer day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and Copenhagen celebrated the return to freedom with the first Distortion Ø festival in three years. Sharing the Sunrise stage with Adriatique, Ben Böhmer, WhoMadeWho, Todd Terje and Ashibah, this was the opening set of the festival. Join the ride as music turned from zero and up to full volume. Once upon a time in the deep dark dungeon of Drumsville, where the lakes, forests, mists and snow surround the Kola Peninsula, laying its feet close to the Arctic Circle. The structure of this unexplored place can make this corner of the world seem like a scene from a fairy tale. Yet, the natural beauty stand the ruins of an abandoned scientific research station that once had its mission to build the sound of tomorrow. This station was the elevator from the deep dark depths to reach to the light - to achieve order and peace through the deepest sounds of Earth.

According to some, this is the entrance to hell. Others say, entrance back to civilisation. 

This is the escape from Kola Superdeep Borehole, the deepest manmade hole on Earth and deepest artificial point on Earth. The 40,230ft-deep (12.2km) construction is so deep that locals swear you can hear the screams of souls tortured in hell and if you listen closely you can hear the whisper of angels.
