Trk01 Impulse

Music with Space radio show host and multi-instrumentalist Mike Hunter uses the name Ombient to make live music befitting of many situations. During his many concert outings he has realized a range of performances - from those of great portent down to the more ethereal and diffuse.
Possessed by a unique atmospheric sensitivity he is currently exploring the sonic territory of Spacemusic's 1970s Berlin-School - utilizing a number of classic electronic instruments, among them a substantial three cabinet "Synthesizers Dot Com" modular system.

For this STAR'S END concert Ombient was joined on-stage by fellow Electronic Musician Chuck van Zyl

Recorded on the Harvest Full Moon 9 . 14 . 19 as way for me to reflect deeper on the past year and open doorways to new projects I have been bringing into the light.

Heavily inspired by my travels to the Rainforest of Ecuador // My time spent on Lake Atitlan // Winter Solstice in the jungles and temples of Tikal in Guatemala // Exploring the ruins of Copan in Honduras, & a journey to Lake Santeelah in the Nantahala National Forest.

The invitation for awareness to surrender completely to the cooperative state of unity

Now a true center for integration is established, culminating in a place of joyful gathering

05 - Phase Shift

Hollan Holmes is a landscape artist by day, but his love for electronic music finds him creating Ambient Electronic Space music by night, often into the wee hours. He released his first CD, A Distant Light, in December 2010 to critical acclaim and, in 2011, released his second CD, The Farthest Fringes with even greater success. His third CD, Phase Shift, was nominated as One World Music's 2013 Electronic Album Of The Year. His fourth CD, The Spirits Of Starlight, released July 1, 2013. His 5th CD, Incandescent, was also nominated for Album Of The Year at One World Music Radio, in 2015. Two years would pass before his next release, a double CD, Prayer To The Energy, with many critics calling it his best work yet. His debut release with ambient music label, Spotted Peccary, called Milestones, was released February 2020 and generated major positive attention. New music is scheduled for release on January 14th, 2022.
