A couple of years after starting the N2MU podcast series, here we are, truly proud to celebrate with you all our 50th one. For such an occasion, we have the great honor of welcoming onboard one of the most notable electro artists in the current electronic scene. Robots and robettes, Chris Roman aka 214 (@214_electro). Renowned electro producer from Seattle who started putting out music almost 20 years ago and his outstanding music has been released on some of the best labels within the genre, Touchin’ Bass, @frustratedfunk, @cpurecords, @klakson-records, or, more recently, his double album Exposure To Winds on @2020visionrecordings. The fineness and elegance along with mighty beatlines are part and parcel of his very own sound. An enchanting crossover between electro and IDM which is actually his distinguishing mark and the cornerstone of this 50th N2MU podcast. A genuine master class on mixing and electro music. Enjoy it!

2022 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the genre as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the course of the year. This was also a year in which I took a break from my show and handed DJing responsibilities over to DJ friends from around the world. Couldn't be happier with how the year turned out for the show. I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my favorite 22 tracks from 2022. This @DarkScienceElectro label highlight is for legendary Dutch record label @Clone-nl - There is legitimately nothing that I could even say about the label that hasn't already been said about this 31-year-old mainstay. They have released some of the most important music in Electro music and their represses have made timeless music available to new generations of music lovers. We are forever indebted to Serge for all his hard work since starting the label in 1991. There cannot be a history of Electro without covering the major contributions of this Dutch imprint. Clone's impact reaches beyond just Electro music into Dub, Techno, IDM, House, and more. For the purposes of this mix, you could guess that my target was the more Electro-centric cuts from the discography.

Rinse FM Podcast - Plastician 'The Sound Of China' - 1st December 2015

It is with great pleasure that we present to you our 100th podcast. Over the course of the series we like to think we have mixed up big names with the stars of tomorrow; have shined a light on lesser known DJs who deserve the limelight and given pride of place to people with their own distinctive sounds. One such artist is Helena Hauff, the DJ turned producer who cut her teeth at the legendary Golden Pudel in Hamburg. Though she is a DJ first and foremost, her recorded material on labels like Werk Discs and Handmade Birds has never been less than arresting thanks to its dystopian blend of electro and techno moods and grooves.

This mix she has done for us is just the same: it is ninety minutes of elastic electro, popping techno and slithering electronics that are shiny and metallic, crisp and futuristic. It will push and pull you in many different directions but is all tied together by an infectious sense of slick robo-funk. Right up there with electro greats like Drexcyia and I-F, Helena Hauff is a suitably singular artist to helm this landmark podcast.

GALAXIAN will join us and really put the full down.
His impressive sound at light-speed is energetic and driving. Despite his hard-to-class sound, he comfortably takes a space outside the easy-to-define genres of today and draws the audience under his spell. You can check this out for yourself on his releases on Last Known Trajectory or his latest with DJ Stingray on Shipwrec. His live shows with helmet and mask promise immersive experiences from distant galaxies.

ELECTRONOME is one of our electro activists you might know from the legendary Dutch labels like Murder Capital and Viewlexx which are run by I-F. It wasn't just for fun that some of his releases have been repressed recently and we're looking forward to his plans for the comeback. He is rarely on the road, so we look forward to his first visit to Berlin. Take a trip with deep basslines and electrical signals!

HEADNOAKS is one of the last explorers of the real Electro Vibe. Infected by the classic Detroit sound and his most mysterious Drexciya project, he recognized his mission to open up the hidden connections between human thought and computer arithmetic. The musical translation can be found on labels such as Transient Force or Blackred among others and he will soon release an EP on Possblthings Rec.
In addition, he is part of the Black Red Crew who together have organized a lot of crazy electro parties in Leipzig, where the most important musicians of the electro scene have been as guests - be it from Detroit, the UK, the Netherlands or elsewhere.

Damian Henderson started mixing vinyl way back in 1995 at the tender age of 10. His mother got some turntables, with Techno, Trance & House records, and he was quickly hooked. After 2 months of practice with no outside influence, he had already mastered mixing and quickly caught the attention of promoters. 
Damian first started playing out at free parties, pubs & reclaim the street parties, across the UK, with the likes of his early influences: Tribal Unity, Desert Storm, D.I.Y, SmokeScreen, DSF & BWPT. And then at the age of 11 he was performing at clubs.  
When he turned 12 he got booked to play with CJ Bolland, and not long after he got a full page review in DJ Magazine.  And gained support from Carl Cox.

The last few years Damian has been back on the production front, and releasing his own unique taste in his productions. Along with several digital releases, vinyl releases on: YaYa23 Records 002 / Bombtrap's 10 year anniversary (alongside "Neil Landstrumm") And more recently Subsonic Records 001, and Subsonic Records 005 (Under his new alias "MindSync")
In 2014 he formed a side label and company project "Infalux" which has gained plays & support from  "Dave Clarke" with "Stanovoxy" (From "D-Omen 12-14 Works") as the introduction track on "Dave Clarke's - White Noise Radio #602" 
2017 Saw Damian return to live performance at a "Desert Storm" event at Officina99 (Napoli, Italy) with a one off live set dedicated to Keith Robinson (KeefStorm). This return quickly prompted the interest of promoters around Europe, with events booked in Germany, Spain, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Ukraine, France, & the UK for 2018.

BassAgenda 176 Cygnus 'Machine Funk' Special

For the 532nd episode of @DarkScienceElectro we check out a live performance recording of @cyphon14 & @obzerv

All tracks written and performed live by Cyphon and Obzerv using two Elektron Digitakts, one Elektron Digitone and a MAM MB33 running through an old Boss delay box. The set is comprised entirely of unreleased and original music.

Cyphon and Obzerv are a pair of 21 and 22-year-old producers from London, who have collaborated since high school. Having experimented with a few different genres – after discovering Electro they found the sound they wanted to specialize in crafting. Through their music they express their experience of growing up in the Age of the Internet, taking inspiration from science fiction stories and global current affairs alike. 

Over the past year they have broadcast live worldwide on Threads Radio and taken their act to club dance-floors, where they have supported Radioactive Man and Afrodeutsche. Cyphon recently released his debut single ‘Red Zone’ on audiovisual label Patchbay Records, and a debut back-to-back EP from the pair is forthcoming on independent vinyl imprint Gunfinger Food. We are proud to finish season with a big shot within the international electro scene: Wibo Lammerts aka @w1b0. A Dutch artist famous for his mighty releases and fierce mixes which have granted him a well-deserved place in the @bassagenda universe thanks to powerful productions as Main Squeeze or Heretofore (@discosatonicos) his latest EP to date. As a dj, he bases his sets on dynamism and intensity without leaving behind the soul of this genre and, unavoidably, pushing us to the dance floor. A real electro journey full of muscle and energy that will certainly fire up your summertime. Enjoy it!

DECENNIUM04 - Nullptr (Central Processing Unit)

For the 4th edition of our DECENNIUM series we bring you an artist making huge waves in the Electro world in recent times; Eddie Symons aka Nullptr (Central Processing Unit).

Eddie's first step into the Electro scene came with his debut release as Nullptr on the highly regarded Detroit Underground label. In 2018 he followed this with an EP for Sheffield giants Central Processing Unit, which received airplay on B Traits' Radio 1 show, and gained support from the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Carl Finlow, DVS NME & many more. Another recent release came courtesy of Solar One Music's Between Places sub label, with another selection of modular-fuelled intergalactic Electro. This year has seen Eddie firmly cement his position as one of the greats in the scene with his 2nd release on Central Processing Unit, his 10 track album entitled 'Future World', which has gained huge notoriety amongst the elite in the scene.

In the last few years Eddie has built up his DJing experience, playing regularly at his Motherchip Connexion events, where he is known for playing a diverse range of electro, from dark machine funk to acid-tinged braindance.

It is an honour to have such a bright talent on our series and as we expected, his exclusive set is nothing short of brilliant, captivating us for the entire journey.
