Jack Doe’s interest for music has been there since he was a little boy, and became serious while growing up. During his visits to all of the major parties in The Netherlands and abroad, a dream developed deep within to become active in the music industry. Jack started chasing his dream with organizing his own parties, with the booking of DJ Hardwell in 2009 as a highlight and breakthrough. 

His style made him a much-invited and well respected deejay in a short amount of time. This resulted in gigs in famous venues like Paradiso, Café d’Anvers and Privilege, performing next to titans like Octave One, Ilija Djokovic, The Yellowheads, Joran van Pol, Rob Hes and Lucien Foort.

Meanwhile, Doe kept working on his discography, which developed impressingly with releases on labels like Tauten, Yin Yang, Ushuaia Music, Finder Records and Renesanz. Hi biggest success until now was his track ‘Levigate’, which reached the eight position of the Top 10 hard techno tracks on Beatport
With numerous gigs in Ibiza, Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Serbia and off course his home soil The Netherlands, Doe is working steadily to become a respectable deejay and producer.

INTERVIEW

What do you do to get into a creative state?
"I always like to listen to some references before creating anything, even if it is another genre. Then I start to jam a little bit with the synths and instruments. After that I start a loop and I fill it with some ideas."

What do you love most about being an artist?
"The part that I touch the peoples' feelings with my music."

Favorite release at the moment & of all times?
"One of my favorites releases of the year is 'Adriatique - Home'
one of my favorite of all times is 'Wilkinson - Afterglow'"

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
"All the time that I'm in the studio producing some music, I try to imagine the reaction of the track as if I were playing. And this is one of the biggest inspirations when it comes to creating, trying to imagine the audience corresponding in a positive way."

How do you, as a musician, cope with the limitations of the party scene by the COVID pandemic?
"Always doing something to appear on the market, as it is not possible to play gigs, we have to try to appear on the market with the possibilities we have, making lives, releasing songs and podcasts. It is never good to stay still. Who is not seen is not remembered."

“An unseen balance between light and darkness”

Scattering for many years between different underground music genres, this frequency collided with the techno soundscape in 2016, creating an outburst of energy.

Equipped with a rumbling, driving, and unseen dedication to his passion, his journey began...

After he took the Belgian MUSICASA producer’s education, as a first step to pursuing his dream, he quickly released EP's and remixes on melodic techno labels such as SMR Underground, Melodia Records, Tanzgemeinschaft, and Papaya music.

After releasing and performing on various stages, and through the process of producing and self-awareness, he felt the melodic techno genre wasn’t the perfect reflection of what inspired and drove him.

In 2022 he had a change of heart as he started focusing more on
underground hypnotic, atmospheric and ambient techno, reaching for that inner spirit and dynamic balance. This resulted in releases on some of the biggest labels in the hypnotic scene like DORIAN, The Gods Planet, BAHN, Khoros, Informa, Space Textures, Arcadia,... with many more on the way.

Host of the podcast ‘Adjust (BE) Invites’ (2020-2023), he invited numerous DJ’s and Producers to make a signature guest mix, where the DJ/producer is the key element.

For over 130 episodes spreading over 3 years and reaching new listeners each month, the fanbase and mutual respect between colleagues kept growing daily.

In 2023 he started a new and hypnotic/deep-techno-exclusive podcast called ‘Andhera’, which translates to ‘darkness’ in Sanskrit. With every Full Moon or Solar Eclipse, a talented and highly respected DJ/producer creates a unique story.

An artist, hand-picked by himself, whom he highly admires, respects and who empowers and understands techno’s dark, ambient and emotional side.⁠

His style of playing and producing can be described as a perfectly, yet delicate, carved out balance between light and darkness, melancholic and emotionally charged. Cinematic sounds, rich and full of atmospheres, super evocative soundscapes with an inexplicable soul that can only be grasped when fully immersed into it.
