G'day Vibe Guide! We're finally at the finish line of this marathon of a year, and to celebrate the festive season and a year of putting out local content, this month for our Selects Series the crew at the Vibe Guide has been joined by one of Adelaide's veteran Drum & Bass soldiers and Inbound Records boss, Fiction.

Fiction has been DJing rave music since 1994, after getting into vinyl at a young age, starting out scratching artists like Run DMC and Beat Street, and running his own radio station at the age of 12. Drum & Bass in Adelaide took off in 96 with Fiction playing dnb up to four nights a week.

On May 30 1998, Fiction and DJ Filter (Curt) put on the first Inbound Records night at the Crown & Scepter, and ever since the name has become synonymous with Drum & Bass in Adelaide, becoming a bricks and mortar retail record store, an online store, and Skateboard label. Most recently some of the most memorable Inbound gigs for Fiction have been Inbound's 21st birthday at the Masonic Centre, and bringing over the late great Marcus Intalex along with the legendary Break.

Simon has supported too many great artists to do a comprehensive list, but some of his favourites have been: Grooverider, Andy C, Ratty, Slipmatt, Klute, Bailey, Fierce, LTJ Bukem, D-Bridge, Marcus Intalex, Calibre, Marky, Concord Dawn, Noisia.
