This mix has been sitting privately on my account since Feb so thought it's about time I aired it.

I originally did it for the Hypedrive collective's Mixcloud channel run by my good friend and fellow Mancunian Brett Smithson - go check it out, there's some great sets on there.

The track selection was very deliberate and carefully planned - I really wanted to get across my musical heritage, what I grew up listening to and how my taste in electronic music has evolved over the years. 

So this mix is very close to my heart.

You'll hear elements of hip hop, jazz, funk, acid jazz, neo soul, reggae, disco, acid house, New York, Chicago and UK deep house from the 90s through to present day.

Don't expect dancefloor bangers from the start. Forgive the cliche but this is a proper journey that will take you from early evening through to sunset and into the early hours - so tune in and go with it.
