I did this for a gig promoter who never got back to me - that's DJ life 😭

So thought I'd share it with the world. It's a bit more on the jackin' vibe to start with but goes a bit deeper with acid and garage elements, never losing the groove.


Rejected Mixtape - deep chunky underground house

This mix has been sitting privately on my account since Feb so thought it's about time I aired it.

I originally did it for the Hypedrive collective's Mixcloud channel run by my good friend Brett Smithson:

The track selection was carefully planned - I wanted to get across my musical heritage, what I grew up listening to and how my taste in electronic music has evolved over the years. 

So this mix is very close to my heart.

You'll hear elements of hip hop, jazz, funk, acid jazz, neo soul, reggae, disco, acid house, New York, Chicago and UK deep house from the 90s through to present day.

Don't expect dancefloor bangers from the start. Forgive the cliche but this is a real journey that will take you from early evening through to sunset and into the early hours - so tune in and go with it.

Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator. I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access. No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
