"Lotusland" was created to feel slightly otherwordly. I worked on this song over an 8-month period and I was trying to capture the emotional state of joy and wonder but with a subtle hint that overindulgence in such is also not a good state.
The last minute of the song has a shift in feeling, slightly more blissful and dreamy, but with subtle deliberate changes in the sound quality to reflect this hint that more is not always better. That is where the title "Lotusland" came from - a term meaning "An idyllic realm of contentment and self-indulgence".
