A message From DRMIS SOUNDSYSTEM;

For me this split was about trying new things and bringing my friend music to the world. I really like gunship music and in the song dark all day they have this electric guitar crunch at some point. Thats were I took the idea of incorporating the electric guitar in my composition. So I took my average guitar skills and try to record 4 songs mixing synthwave and a kinda heavy metal sound. I never mixed guitar before but im fairly pleased of the end result. I like the rawness of these songs and it pushed me from something entirelly virtual. The next step is to find a decent singer for my next release and im set to become a legends. At least thats whats im telling myself.

For the cover i used a photo that i took in Lévis while walking with my girlfriend at night. I then mixed that with other picture taken on the internet with photoshop to create this catastrophic disaster

So basically solace is youre refuge while the world slowly burn... i hope you like these songs like i do!

That's my tribute to Nintendo Famicom, the 80's and japanese people.
The new EP "FANIPPON! (ｷﾑ刀ﾉｱｱㄖ刀!)" is something completely different from my tyipical stuff, because I composed two Synthpop songs for it, rather than my typical retrogaming/chiptune stuff.
"Fanippon" (the original title is ｷﾑ刀ﾉｱｱㄖ刀!) is a game with words who comes from Famicom, the legendary 8-bit console (the japanese equivalent of NES) from Nintendo: as you can suppose, that's a fusion between the words Fan and Nippon.
Practically, this word describes a fan of everything that's japanese!
The girl and the console shown in the cover feature a really noisy visual effect: that's a reference to the RF audio/video output of the original Famicom.

Music making became a continuous open experiment, and Paul is not shy when it comes to approaching a variety of music genres ,always subordinating his ideas to complex theoretical concepts that give birth to beautifully crafted releases.

Paul`s passion for retro machines and sounds imprints a unique touch to all of his music, which is always affiliated to some obscure period between the `60s and present day, drawing inspiration from funk, soul, disco or new wave,remixed in a modern, sensual and colorful package. 

The retrofuturist aesthetic, the idealized mix of past present and future and the imaginative ways he reinvents clichées are Paul`s unique features, while he remains true to cyberpunk philosophy with the ambition of putting machinery to work in favor of human reason and emotion.
