This is a remix of the Larvae track "Vostok" recorded in 2004. The song was inspired by the Antarctic lake. The remix was done by Mothboy in a style very unlike most Larvae material. This is the B-Side from Larvae's first 7". The remix comes from Jeremy Wilkins under the name uRAD (Underwater Research and Design). We weren't happy with the pressing, so not many of these records made it out into the world, but I always liked this version of NEAR.

The intro is a binaural recording I made as I walked out of my flat and onto the street on the way to club amid the fireworks.
