A special mix from one of the minds behind our third record, so welcome on board @jacopolatini .

Jacopo also known as Jackie, is the co-founder of Taboo Traxx. Now based in Berlin, he continues to hone his profound sound with many releases last year and a lot of new projects coming out in 2021.
He can frequently be found playing his extensive artillery of records at various locations in his native country, or the new city he calls home. Growing up in Bologna played a pivotal role in Jackie's acquired taste in music, surrounded by the surgence of deep house in Italy, he managed to absorb the deep and emotive sound. Something which he is now able to interpret and reflect within his own productions, however maintaining a modern, yet still moving twist.
He has found his element in recent times in the German capital, surrounding himself with creative artists where he can bounce his positive energy and ideas, introducing his personal workflow, whilst simultaneously learning from others. Jacopo sets his sights firmly on a year of pushing his productions, via his own Taboo imprint, and already in the pipeline of Mood Waves.

Vivrant's first release of 2022 brings an enthralling collaboration with Seoul-based South Korean label CRAFT AND JUN. The project pairs Vivrant’s core family of acts consisting of label boss Jeremy Olander, Marino Canal, MOLØ, Viggo Dyst and Khen with CRAFT AND JUN’s ditto. With the Swedish label’s trademark atmospheric and melancholic ID at its core, the project creates a genre-blending body of work that ranges from melodic techno, organic house, emotionally-laden electronica to breaks. 

In its relentless pursuit to pave its own way in the world of modern electronic dance music, Stockholm-based Vivrant initiated the project alongside CRAFT AND JUN founder Jun Beck in an attempt to build a creative and cultural bridge between west and east, and expose their respective core artists to new new sources of inspiration with the purpose of aiding them in developing their artistry. 

Fifth and last out the gates with a Spotify exclusive release on April 1st is Israeli organic house maven Khen with a remix of george, Cosmic Boy and pH-1’s ‘water. First released in 2020 on the two artist’s collaborative five-track EP ‘Love in summer’, the original is an endearing, blissful and funky summer scorcher. As one the best-selling organic house producers on Beatport with a discography spanning labels such as Sébastien Léger’s Lost Miracle, Guy J’s Lost & Found, Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep and John Digweed’s Bedrock, Khen’s remix will take punters worldwide on groovy sonic journey from Seoul to Tel Aviv.

Danse Club has built up a solid reputation with DJs for putting out music made specifically for the floor - the original ‘Train Of Thought Feat. Elli’ by Brodanse was no exception and was played by a number of underground heavyweights including Maya Jane Coles, Art Department and Kate Simko.

Danse Club have now pulled together a remix package from nearly 300 entries via their Beatport Remix Competition and commissioned a timeless remix from Tom Flynn (Hot Creations, 8Bit, Viva).

The package contains three totally unique interpretations of Brodanse’s ‘Train Of Thought’ all made specifically for the ‘Danse’ Floor!

Carl Finlow returns with a double vinyl 8 track album, following a prolific run of singles for Lone Romantic, Electrix, Craigie Knowes and Orson. Apparatus is a forward-thinking album that reflects Finlow’s return to live touring with many tracks hitting harder and darker, pushing his electro sound into new directions and soundscapes. Flawless production is something we have come to expect from Mr.Finlow yet he has managed to raise his game yet again with Apparatus. The album means business from the start, kicking off with the title track, ‘Apparatus’, a no-nonsense assault on the system with fast tight drum programming, heavily vocoded vocals and powerful synths. The pace continues on the record with ‘Bind’ and ‘Carbon Deposits’, Structure’ but there are also pure electro cuts like ‘Differential’ and moody grooves in ‘Ampere’ and ‘Viroids’. 
 
Finlow has been on a staggering run of form and Apparatus continues this remarkable purple patch with a new lease of electro energy. It’s not surprising that every credible electronic master on the planet from Weatherall and Craig Richards to Dixon and Maceo Plex are all fans of his work.
