prowls the streets, with a lusty desire A four-legged Casanova, lightin' up the fire With eyes like saucers,
and a coat like silk He struts his stuff, through the alleyways of ilk Sniffin' for love in the darkest of places
Chasin' tail with his wild-eyed graces (Chorus) Billy the Hound, he's a legend in the night Chasin' tail and
takin' flight Drifting through a psychedelic dream He's the king of the alleyway scene (Verse 2) He's got a
swagger, like no other mutt Sippin' on moonshine, from a dirty ol' cup He'll howl at the moon, with a
devilish grin A canine outlaw, in a world of sin He'll sniff out the stash, of the finest green herb And roll it
up tight, in a paper superb Then he'll light it up, take a puff and a pass With a wink and a nod, he's off to
the grass (Chorus 2) Billy the Hound, in the club he's a sight, Sippin' on cocktails, mixin' it right. With a
strut in his step, and a slick, smooth sheen, He's the master of seduction in the neon-lit scene. (Verse 2)
He'll sniff out a party with his keen sense of smell, Dancin' with danger, he knows it well. From rooftop to
rooftop, he'll leap and bound, A wild rebel spirit, never to be found. With a howl at the moon, he'll lead the
pack, In the underbelly of the city, he's got their back. Sippin' on moonshine, and smokin' a joint, Billy the
Hound, livin' life with no point. (Chorus 1) Billy the Hound, in the alley's embrace, Amongst shadows and
sinners, he finds his place. With a growl and a grin, he prowls the street, A hunter of pleasure, with no one
to defeat. (Chorus 2) Billy the Hound, amidst the city's decay, Amongst the lost souls, he'll always find a
way. With a snarl and a swagger, he makes his claim, In the underworld's depths, where passions aflame
(Chorus 1) Billy the Hound, in the strip club's glow, Where the dancers sway and the whiskey flows. With
a bark of approval, he joins the crowd, A connoisseur of pleasure, brash and loud. (Chorus 2) Billy the
Hound, in the back alley's haze, Rollin' the dice in the late-night craze. With a toss and a grin, he takes his
chance, In the game of risk and fortune, he finds his trance. (Chorus 3) Billy the Hound, in the den of the
night, Where the cards are dealt and the stakes are right. Amongst the neon's flicker, he plays his hand, A
gambler and a lover, in this nocturnal land.

We took those dark no color eyes

of some nameless man who

left this grass so long ago



And see the rich so elegant all dismal red

the speakeasy pallor all gay

and thick with smoke



Slowly avert your eyes

those eyes of love from who you

see milling this Chandler floor



Our face we adore and adorn and will

never forget what it looked

in its youth



Soon look again at the Play and the scenes

that keep changing authors

all on their own



See,  Robert Heinlein was right and it only figures

we have dreamed up some

outrageous creatures



It's a big universe



Show me your face in that dire play

you've been secretly writing,  my friends,

the one that is fevered and sorely bruised



Or I'll see that young lady before me

what she has writ before will suddenly

vanish her just like she planned



I cannot demand that the uncertain happen

only put it in a special place deep

in a bottle



My handwriting suffers and futures get broken

when I face a blank page, staring

hypnotic slut



Cut off my hands if you think I'm endangering

any lives Saddam

knows the scene

I place it on the wall all smokey and

glow as it sits behind bulletproof glass
