DCR - I WANNA BE YOUR DOG - DCOMPOSED

After a prolonged battle with writers-block, I decided to just sit down and just let "whatever came out" happen.  This track is the result.  Playing with vocal samples and slicers mostly. It breathes in waves, Starting with a meditative trance, building slowly to climax over and over, and then ending with a few minutes of spacey groove to dance to! Hope it doesn't disappoint!  I envisioned one who meditates and achieves astral projection and takes comfort in the cool serenity of the cosmic afterglow, drifting effortlessly through the luminous haze of eternity.

method: having written the poem and created a background track, I asked the incomparable REKHA to join me in the gestation of this soundscape and she added her miracle voice and beautiful guitar as well as mixing and  producing prowess. thank you, my dear genius!

narration: this poem combines Indian and European folklore. India is home to dancing Shiva Nataraja, Europe (for precision's sake, Germany) is the place from which folk tales about jesters and 'divine fools' originate. the contrast creates its own kind of magic, especially with my wonderful collaborator! All her mesmerizing additions are copyrighted to her.

carry sunlight in sacks
change is ecstatic

will devour us all
circular vistas
from mount Meru so tall

to till fertile soil
at the rainbow‘s end

in the pineal gland
