Tete Beck, der seit rund 5 Jahren hinter den Decks sein Unwesen treibt, verwebt Genres ganz nach Gusto und folgt dabei stets seiner Intuition. Das Ergebnis lässt sich nun in unseren neuesten Ausgabe bestaunen. Der Grundton bleibt dabei stets "sexy" & „cremig" - Beats die den Körper ständig in vibrierender Bewegung halten. Von alten italienischen Folk-Songs, Techhouse, Downtempo bis Orientalischen klängen ist alles dabei.
Er selbst bezeichnet den Sound als "Creamy" :) Dem ist nichts hinzuzufügen 👌

What are memories? What are these tiny fragments of images, sounds, and feelings that move slowly towards you, like waves on a shore? What if we translated these into sounds? Trying to capture the warmth and the washed-up imagery that float around so freely in our heads. Stripped down to the core of the sound. Sounds that swim through vast spaces in the universe that sit inside of our brain. The washed-up fragments come up to the surface, and they create beautiful chains of atmospheres that give you that dream-like state.

The gliding of the synthesizers, the texture of the sound, the raw and distorted buildups that take you higher and higher. Minimalism is essential, no drums, just heartbeats, processed through endless loops of cassette tapes, just like our childhood. Waves, forests, streets, cities, and private places recorded and layered around poetry and accompanied by guitars and bass blend imperfectly on the sounds you hear, and these are nuances of the past are the haunting thoughts that wake you up in the middle of the night.

These are Memories on Tape.
