Jak mettā pomaga odpuszczać - Czcigodna Candā [LEKTOR PL]

In deze meditatie gaan we al vrij snel over naar een volledige bodyscan die ons terugbrengt naar het hele lichaam dat hier zit. Van daaruit ontvangen we de gewaarwordingen van alles dat zich aandient in ons: de geluiden, de sensaties, de afleidingen. 

We laten de beoefening bestaan uit het simpelweg opmerken wanneer de geest afdwaalt, om dan de aandacht weer op ontspannen wijze terug te brengen naar de levendigheid van dit moment.

Zo leren we het leven te ontvangen met een adem van liefdevolle vriendelijkheid. 

We luisteren en zijn aanwezig bij alles wat zich maar aandient. En we laten, van moment tot moment, de liefde en de vriendelijkheid in onszelf opkomen. Rustend in de uitgestrekte achtergrond van aanwezigheid, van het gewaarzijn, van de opmerkzaamheid van lichaam en adem.

Zo leren we om de Aandachtige Opmerkzaamheid zelf ons thuis te laten zijn en ons anker te vormen. Om zo het leven te ontvangen, aanwezig in ieder moment met liefdevolle vriendelijkheid.

1. Think back to seeing or sharing in an Act of Kindness that really made a positive difference. What did the person (or yourself) say or do? Describe what then happened, and if there were any lasting effects that followed. 

2. How can you best tune yourself to be continuously mindful of practical ways of bringing kindness to the people around you? Pay particular attention to communicating with those who may be suffering for whatever reason where your compassion and doing something to really help most matters?

In deze intentie-meditatie gaan we oefenen met een praktijk die soms ook wel de 'Net als ik'-oefening wordt genoemd.

De ‘Net als ik’-oefening kan ons helpen om de toegang tot de Liefdevolle Vriendelijkheid in onszelf terug te vinden, precies op die momenten dat het ons even ontglipt.

We kennen allemaal dat soort momenten. Soms zijn er momenten in het leven dat iemand je aandacht en vriendelijkheid op zo’n manier doorbreekt dat de compassie plotseling oplost, als een sneeuwbal in een oven. De liefde, de warmte en compassie in jezelf is op zo'n moment plots ver te zoeken.

Op dat soort momenten kun je misschien de 'Net als ik'-oefening doen, om op die manier terug te keren naar de Zuivere Intentie van je hart. Deze oefening helpt je om de ander te zien als de mens die deze persoon nog steeds gewoon is.

Deze meditatie is daarbij zeker geen denkoefening. Net als alle Intentie-meditaties is deze meditatie vooral een praktijk van het Hart. En om het onszelf niet al te moeilijk maken, beginnen we deze oefening dan ook met iemand waarvoor de vriendelijkheid, warmte en liefde, zonder moeite aanwezig kan zijn. Op deze manier breiden we onze intentie steeds verder uit. 

Samen oefenen we met deze meditatie in het blijven ontwikkelen van een Hart van Mededogen. Een Hart dat ziet - hoe moeilijk een persoon misschien ook is - dat deze persoon nog altijd een mens is. Een mens die ooit kind was, die liefde zoekt, momenten van verdriet kent en momenten van verwarring.

Een mens kortom, 'Net als ik....'

Theravada powstała w III w. p.n.e. w północnych Indiach, po wyodrębnieniu się z ze wspólnego nurtu szkoły mahasanghików i jest najdłużej istniejącą szkołą buddyjską spośród wczesnych szkół. Dominuje w południowej i południowo-wschodniej Azji (gł. Birma, Kambodża, Tajlandia, Laos), aż po Indonezję, i bywa nazywana buddyzmem południowym. Czasami tradycja ta zaliczana jest do hināyāny, co nie jest właściwe zarówno ze względu na poprawność merytoryczną, jak i historyczną.
