I...composed this for a Minecraft server. My brothers' Minecraft server, specifically. They had plans for a grand YouTube series (still do, probably); I offered to help them, and for that purpose I made this.

I was fighting my orchestra library the whole way. Turns out, Native Instruments Symphony Essentials is for symphonies--if you want a Hollywood sound, you have to get a Hollywood orchestra library! I can only imagine how great this would sound using EastWest libraries.....

Harp is from the GeneralUser GS soundfont v1.44.

Inspiration came when a friend and I were walking along a trail in the woods near Cleveland, Ohio. We sat down on a bench and were in the middle of a deep discussion when my friend noticed a deer was looking at us through the foliage, perhaps 20 feet away. We cautiously continued talking, hoping it would wander closer, which it did. As someone born and raised in the scorching desert, this was a very special experience for me. Not long after, the dear was on the trail, wandering by, and I managed to take a few up-close photos. However, it went about it's day, blessing us with a wonderful memory.

This piece is an orchestral reimagining of one of the soundtrack pieces from the game "Deltarune", titled "BIG SHOT", composed by Toby Fox. I wrote this whole thing out in 4-5 hours, in one night, and am incredibly satisfied with how it turned out.

Just for fun, I have been writing soundtracks for my own hypothetical RPG game, I call "Lost Princess of Hortundra". One day I hope to make this game a reality, but for now, I'm just writing music. This playlist doesn't contain every soundtrack I've written for the game yet, I'm constantly updating it. And now, a little about the story of the game!
There once was a kingdom long, long ago. The people loved their ruler. Yes, he was strong and was intelligent. But most importantly, he took care of his subjects. It was a time of peace, a time of prospering, a time of joy.
A seed of thought planted itself in the head of the great king’s right-hand man, sir Julius. As time grew, so did this seed of inspiration into a great tree of determination. Julius spread lies about the great king.
He spilt sickening falsities that tainted the people’s belief in their king. And eventually, just as planned, a terrible revolution took place. The great king was beheaded by the dear subjects he wished to protect. Julius picked the crown up off the floor and bestowed it on his own head. He ordered the killing of the great king’s family: the king’s wife, and his two precious daughters...

However, the eldest daughter was saved by a valiant knight and was taken into hiding in a far away land, never to be seen again. As time ran its course, the new king grew paranoid; that the last human with the blood of the Rose lineage may one day bare her face again, and take her kingdom back.

He struck a mighty war over the land, combing through the new territories he obtained to find this woman. Why is she such a threat? The night the princess of Hortundra disappeared, so too did the most powerful sword in the land, "Obitz Narakov", known as the slayer of nations. In the hands of royal blood, this sword could level armies.

As a stroke of bad luck, this sword somehow ended up in your village. You discover it, but shortly after, troops from Hortundra flood in, with the intention to spill blood, and find that sword. Now with the key to restoring balance to the known world, you must find the lost princess of Hortundra and restore her to the throne, restoring peace to the land.
