The bridge stands at the terminator line — neither side, just the boundary, a single piano voice, one held note in the sky.

This remix of Hero’s Shadow from My Hero Academia reimagines the original score in a more intimate and emotionally grounded way. Inspired by the work of composer Yuki Hayashi, I wanted to shift the focus away from pure heroism and instead highlight the quiet weight that comes with it.

To me, heroes are often seen as symbols — something strong, untouchable, almost perfect. But behind that image, there’s always a human being who feels pressure, fear, doubt, and pain. This song lives in that space.

The “shadow” represents everything that isn’t shown — the emotional burden behind the mask, the sacrifices no one talks about, and the loneliness that can come with always being the one others rely on.

Instead of portraying heroism as something loud and powerful, this version leans into its softer, more fragile side — the moments where strength means simply continuing, even when it hurts.

For me, this remix is a reflection on responsibility, sacrifice, and what it truly means to carry the title of a hero.

A reminder that saving the world shouldn’t mean losing yourself.

I am a composer and computer geek in the cinematic realm. I have been composing for several years for Harpo productions, including the Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Oz and the rest of the OWN network.

My love and passion is creating pieces of music that reflect the various themes and genres used in hollywood's greatest films.  My goal is absolute realism in the sound, despite using sample libraries rather than a real orchestra.
