Easy Fire (DJ Love Remix) - 2014

For several years I have been thinking (and talking) about doing a freakbeat/surf rock style set of songs as a homage to the 60's sound. I got fascinated with the sound several years ago and did a bit of research on the acts and music that came from this genre. It influenced me to grab my guitars and try something similar. I was presented with the gift of the entire Beatles collection several years ago and the early music was also a push to try something nostalgic. This is the first attempt. While it's not exactly a departure from my breakbeat sound, this is definitely different than what I'm used to putting out.  There are several guitar tracks layered with some classic organ and a heavy backbeat. It's quite simple, but fun. The title is from the ongoing theme which is based around skateboarding  updated from surf music. This song is dedicated to Dana Hammonds.

Old Electro tunes dominate this mix with some 80's classics, Hip Hop,
Dance & Indie along with various other styles and then its
carefully mixed/melted into the the Adshead Melting Pot with some added beats & samples to give it a modern sound. Hence the name, The Melting Pot Vol.1
