Why does nobody seem to mention this game anymore? Sure it's an old, obscure handheld Mario title, but the gameplay and soundtrack are top-notch!!

This was for the Starry Night Zone Boss music that was going to be in Sonic Legends but then was later scrapped since we dropped the level entirely. I did later make 2 tracks for act 1 and 2 at a later date and will upload it.

The Orignal was much faster and with a higher pitch too and this was the 1st track i worked on for Sonic Legends.

welp, I wasn't actually planning on doing this until after a MIDI was released on VGMusic, but someone from SMW Central (he goes by Giftshaven/Gifty btw) talked to me on Discord DMs, and he offered to give me the MIDI he created that he was going to use for his cover/port, so I pretty much stopped whatever I was doing to make this lol

man, I sure hope I'm actually the first one to do a SPC cover of this game, because god damn it's such a honor, haha; I dunno if I feel worthy enough of it tho lol

I had a ton of fun choosing the samples here btw, some of which I never used them at all before (the distorted guitar and harpsichord, which were also recommendations from friends of mine), one sample, along with variations of that same sample that I haven't used in a long time (the pulse wave lead), and even one that I made entirely by myself (the FM bass, tho I had to have some help from a few people to make it sound as good as I'd want it to :V; and yes, I'm starting to get into FM synthesis myself, and hopefully I can get better at it); the rest are all samples I used or already had before, but they still work really well here, haha
