I'll be so honest, this song very barely belongs on this album.  It has like, 3 measures of 7/4 in the middle, but other than that, it's completely in 4/4.  However, it's sisters to the track Dedededede, as both use KIrby VSTs, so I couldn't split them apart.

While this song doesn't have much going for it rhythmically, harmonically, it's got some cool stuff going on.  The chords at the beginning are #11 chords that use chordal planing to move around.  I'm very proud of the counter point that goes on in the beginning of the piece, but the weird chords mean that it definitely doesn't follow the rules to a T.  At the end, I tried doing some polymetric melody overlapping to make it sound like kirby suddenly entered a jazz drum circle.

For the seventh track on Girl Math, we have Dedededede, named because its main theme reminded me of King Dedede's theme, and for the section that uses the Kirby Super Star OST.


Depending on how you hear how fast the beat is going, the hook is either in 6/4 or is made up of a phrase of three measures of 4/4.  Then, it alternates with a section of 5/4 until the main section comes in with a traditional drum and bass rhythm in 4/4.  The weird time signatures come back for the kirby section.

For this song, my goal was to use As Many Horns As Possible, because I tend to not use them in my other songs because I usually don't like the sound of MIDI horns.  There's two instances of non-midi horns, being the fire engine horn that plays right before the drop, and the horn that plays the King Dedede-esque melody over the top of the main line.
