BIO:
Ascion is the musical project of Pasquale Ascione, an Italian from Naples, currently based in Berlin. What makes Ascion’s music to stand out from the contemporary techno context, is its immediacy and intensity delivered in a genuine and open-hearted manner. Pasquale maintains the subtle tension in his tracks. There are constant upsurges of energy and unrest in these acidic formations calming down just to reappear with even stronger punch. The tracks sometimes build up to the intensity of hardcore or echoes the golden age of rave as well as contemporaneous monolith Berlin tech-vibes.

Even though the majority of its output bursts with utmost vigor of the heated-up climaxes of warehouse raves, these is also a place for the moments of icy lushness manifested on the darker sci-fi’ish release “The Cybernetic Drama”, more downtempo of “Public Head” EP both released on his 3TH Records or profound and drifting tunes of “Channel #9” released on Deep Sound Channel. Pasquale’s various musical guises are nicely manifested in his sole full-length “Joy Dexon Club” on his Repitch Recordings, where airy and vivid techno compositions are infused with electrified pulses and traces classic IDM nostalgia hinting at legendary Warp output of the 90’s. Despite these references, Ascion’s tracks are best described neither by retro of futurist discourses, but rather a sprawling and overwhelming moment of the now, this hypnotic physicality still experienced in underground raves. Pasquale nicely sums it all up in the interview for Self-Titled magazine: “My music is characterized by a certain energetic atmosphere and distortion, regardless the genre. I like Power for the right mind-body-journey”.

His curatorial activity as label manager, visual artist and creative behind Repitch Recordings, 3TH Records and Cosmo Rhythmatic showcases the vast musical taste of Pasquale and in a way reflects his own sonic endeavours. Whether alone or together with his colleagues (D. Carbone and Shapednoise), Pasquale’s adventurous approach and true underground attitude are treasures in the scene.

GC001 - GLITCH (Welcome to GLITCH Curates)

Welcome to the first episode of our first collaborative series; GLITCH Curates. A bi-weekly mix series made up of a selection of techno DJs and artists, specially selected and hand picked by GLITCH. Each of the DJs has had some influence on GLITCH's taste and style of DJing, whether it be from a mix or a production of theirs. If you have had the chance to listen to any of GLITCHs previous episodes for Under The Influence, you will know exactly what's to come. For those who don't, you're in for a treat.

To kick off the series, GLITCH has recorded a relentless and unforgiving three hour mix, packed full of devious rhythm and groove, giving an insight into what GLITCH plays in the club. Having supported the likes of Freddy K, Jeroen Search and the Eerstie Communie gang, GLITCH is well on his way to making moves within the scene.

"It seems an age since I was last in a club and since it's going to be a while yet for some and possibly even longer for others, I thought I would record a longer mix than usual. I wanted to reconnect with the feeling from those intense and sweaty nights that we all know and love in dark, yet memorable, rooms. Hopefully we will be connected soon again on the dancefloor".

As a producer he is operating in the nasty side of techno with heavy acidic productions which can be found released on TH±Tar Hallow, Planet Rhythm Records and Mord Records. Thanos Hana counts multiple performances in clubs such as Griessmuehle-Berlin, Tresor-Berlin, Perron-Rotterdam, Radion-Amsterdam presenting DJ sets and hardware-based live sets which are made for dark spaces and spark off an immediate response from the floor.

Después de la primera referencia, titulada "Cognitive Disorder", lanzada en julio de 2020, llega la segunda referencia, "Falling In Wrong Paths", compuesta de siete pistas, un six-tracker en una edición en casete y en formato digital, que tendrá una canción extra.

Club Furies es muy feliz de poder estrenar una pista de un gran artista, fundador de Illegal Alien Records, y un referente internacional en el tecno. Se trata de la pista 'B.1 Fake Interaction'.
